You cannot change anything from the tv side. TV automatically select the resolution based on the content you are playing. Play a 4K video the tv will take care of it.

Display of remaining pictures remains 9999 no matter what size stick is in the camera

If you have a large Gb card and you have set your camera to the lowest resolution, 9999 is the highest the available frame count will go up to. You may well be able to shot more images than 9999 on low resolution. Try setting the camera to the highest resolution and see if the available no. of shots changes. You should also note that the available no. of shots left is only an approximation.

Increase resolution

The poster resolution and the computer resolution are completely separate. The cpt resolution controls the monitor screen display. The poster resolution refers to the camera pixels used in recording the original picture - it cannot be increased. The poster program is measuring the resolution of the file picture only and indicating that t will produce a blurry poster.

How can I take high resolution photos on my Panasonic Lumix DMC FS15. I sent some photos to Costco to have them made into posters and was told that I needed a higher resolution photo to make a good clear...

All cameras have multiple settings for picture quality. For example if you email a lot of pictures select a lower resolution. If you have "poster" size prints made select the highest resolution you camera will do.
Go into your cameras set up and select the highest resolution you have. should be about 12MP.
You have a high quality print with that.

Only getting extra large picture

Please right click on your monitor desktop

Click on "Properties"

Click on "Settings"

Look for "Screen Resolution" down at the bottom.

see if the resolution is "1024 by 768"

if not then make it "1024 by 768"

Also check "Color Quality" is set to "Highest (32 bit)"

If not then make it "Highest (32 bit)"

Click apply and screen resolution will be changed.

If it does not change then please check your graphic card drivers.

Cheers

How do you put format the camera to take the highest resolution pictures?

Since you did not state your camera make/model, it is still safe to say that you would need to go into the menu and change the image quality to "large". Typically a JPG if you are not familiar with "RAW" (i.e., if your camera will shoot RAW). JPG is the easiest. The larger the image the higher the resolution. This allows more information to be in your image file. Prints made from larger images will look better.

Resolution

Your monitor is 4:3 and a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024. Therefore you want to set your 360 resolution to 1280 x 1024 and you may want to change it to widescreen if desired. However, widescreen will cause you to lose some of your screen (i.e Letterbox). Try both standard and wide and see what looks better for you. If you are right up close to the monitor (about 12-18 inches away for instance), then widescreen would be ideal.

As for reference levels, it will depend on the contrast of your monitor. Try it on all three settings and see which one looks better for you. There is no wrong or right answer!

Features of each record mode...

The details for each record mode are as follows: RAW: RAW data is unprocessed image data in its original state to which white balance, sharpness, contrast, color conversion and other processes have not been applied. CAMEDIA Master can be used to display RAW data and save it in other image formats. A RAW plug-in is also available for Adobe Photoshop which also provides the ability to process images in 32-bit color depth. TIFF: This is the highest-quality mode. images are saved as uncompressed data, which is the best for printing or image processing on a computer. SHQ: This is a high quality mode using the JPEG format. Because the compression rate is very low, high quality images can be stored. HQ: This is a high quality mode using JPEG format, with medium compression. Because the compression rate is higher than SHQ, file sizes are smaller. More images can be saved to a card. The file size can be changed in the 3:2 or Enlarge size mode as well as SHQ. 3:2 Mode: Ordinarily the image aspect ratio is set to 4:3. Due to change the ratio to 3:2, the picture size becomes 2592 x 1728 so that the image can be printed without losing the image borders at a photo lab. 3:2 can be set in the TIFF, SHQ, or HQ mode. SQ1: SQ1 uses the highest compression for resolutions greater than 1600 x 1200. You can choose high compression to reduce noise or normal compression to save more images. SQ2: SQ2 uses the highest compression for resolutions less than 1600 x 1200. You can choose high compression to reduce noise or normal compression to save more images.
