Laptop turns off suddenly? Computers may not be smarter than people, but if they’re designed properly, they will shut themselves down before overheating to the extent that they do themselves damage.

If the smart person keeps turning the notebook back on and figures out a way to foil the protection, the laptop is probably doomed.

Once a laptop shuts down for thermal event protection, it may refuse to power back up for a fixed period of time, five or ten minutes, or it may begin to boot and shut down immediately as soon as it boots to the point that it can figure out that its too hot.

The over-temperature protection is generally a BIOS rather than an operating system function, so one sign of an overheated laptop is one that shuts itself down while you’re using it and then refuses to boot as far as the operating system unless you leave it alone for an hour or so to cool down.

Unless you’ve been working in a very unfriendly environment, high temperatures, direct sunlight, etc, you should take even a single overheating shutdown as a warning to back up your data at the first opportunity and to give the cooling system a serious cleaning.

Shuts Down (6930p)

this is can happen with any laptop battery, when you leave it on charge the cells in the battery die and cannot retain their charge, so the battery will say 100% 4 hours remaining but it really only has 10 minutes.

the only thing you can do is buy a new battery

Try resetting the BIOS,
1) Turn off the Laptop, remove the battery and unplug the power cable, press the power button to such the remaining power out.
2) Remove the centered back cover panel (square/rectangular section) to expose the internal board (DONT TOUCH ANYTHING)
3) Locate the cmos battery on the internal board (a medium sized battery coin (silver))
4) Remove that battery coin, turn over the laptop, plug in the power and start it up, after it says that the BIOS has been reset, turn it off.
5) Turn off the Laptop, remove the battery and unplug the power cable, press the power button to such the remaining power out.
6) Turn back over the laptop, put in the battery coin and screw the panel back onto the laptop, making sure its pressed in and is flush with the rest of the body. Put back in the screws for the panel.
7) Turn on the laptop.
It should not beep and work fine.

Kwai Fang had some boxes of fruits for sale. She sold 35 boxes on Monday. She sold 1/5 of the remaining boxes of fruits on Tuesday. Then she had 1/3 of the total number of boxes of fruits left. How many...

  1. Number of boxes that she had first is X.
  2. After she sells 35 boxes she has X-35 boxes.
  3. On the tuesday she sells 1/5 of remaining boxes which is 1/5 of X-35 (you write that as 1/5*(X-35)).
  4. Now she has X-35-1/5*(X-35) which is equal to 1/3 of total number of boxes (1/3X).
  5. Now you can write an equation X-35-1/5*(X-35)=1/3X
  6. You put all Xs on one side and all numbers on the other.
  7. You should get this equation X-1/5X-1/3X=35-1/5*35 and then when you add and subtract everything 7/15X=28.
  8. From last equation you see that X is 28*15/7 which is equal to 60.

This could indicate a bad battery. Try removing the battery and powering on the laptop. If the power LED remains white then you have a problem with the charging circuit. That means your battery could be defective or the battery charging circuit on your motherboard is faulty.

if you are trying to wire the batteries for teh 24 volt motor then you need to connect the positive of one battery to the negative of the other battery. then connect the trolling motor to the remaining two terminal of the batteries.

if you are trying to connect the charger to the batteries then each battery should have its own set of wire coming from the charger.these wires should be connected to the batteries in a set not crossed between batteries.

Won't turn on, neither on battery nor on dc

This icon alone to me would be worth the hassle of reinstalling this utility. Why? The answer can be summed up in one word. Accuracy. Take the battery status icon found in the system tray (please). This icon is terribly inaccurate. What else would explain why it can tell you that you have 35% of your battery remaining one minute, and the very next minute tell you that your battery level is critical and you need to connect to an AC adapter immediately.
