1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode)
2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version
3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)
up until very recently i had the same problem, found this review through alot of google searches and it seems to solve the problem. must stress i cant take ANY credit for solving the problem but if anyone meets this guy, tell him i owe him a beer.
1. turn sansa clip on 2. slide to "hold" 3. press and hold center button do NOT let go... 4. plug in the connector cable 5. wait until computer recognises Sansa device 6. let go of center button 7. drag n drop files and you are all set
if that doesnt work you will need to go to the sandisk website to update the firmware on your device..
let me know if you anymore questions..

the e280 8gig it doesn't come with a cd instalation, it only works for transfer music in media plalyer 10 or 11 sync. another way to tranfer his drop and drag to do this open my computer then open the device u will see file just as music, photo, videos drag and drop the musica files into the file. if poppoed up apear it happen to me too the only thing i did was switching usb ports to a diffrent port. www.scandisk.com for and updates select downloads. it will said drivers downloads select sansa firmware updates but before it has to be unplug. when download finish u need to restart then plug e280 open sansa update in desktop it will show u e280 if new updates are availble. also check the system requierments for compabilities. hope this help if not u can contact sansa coparation there listing in support. hope this help,
