Question about Logitech Webcam

Laptop not recognizing Webcam

I connected my Logitech Webcam last night for the first time - I plugged it in and it seemed to work just fine cuz I could see it on in Skype. I even adjusted my image and clicked a picture as a trial.

However, after about half an hour when I had come back to actually use it - my laptop could not recognize it anymore.

I did unplug it and try to plug it back on many-a-times (even after restarting my system and even this morning - after a whole night) - for some reason, my laptop is not recognizing it when I plug the Webcam in...

My Logitech webcam is plugged in through USB and the audio works fine, but there is no video/picture showing anywhere. Dear god :(

Try this free webcam test site. If you don't see yourself in the window after clicking Allow, then click on the camera icon below the window. A drop-down box appears. Look for your Logitech camera and select it. You should see yourself. If the Logitech is not a choice on the drop-down list then the driver is either disabled or corrupted. Go to the Logitech website, under the Support tab, Products, Webcams, and find and download the driver for your model of webcam. Once you download it try the free test tool again to verify all is working.

One more thing. Make sure your browser is closed when you plug in your webcam. Then when the browser is opened it will recognize the device. If the browser is already open then it might not recognize the webcam. Good luck!

My headphones have worked perfectly until last night when I stopped hearing any sound altogether. The mic still seems to work and my laptop recognizes that the headset is plugged in. Is this just a matter...

Sounds like its a loose connection inside the headset itself. this will happen. It could either be on the plug or in the headphone itself. An from experience its more of a hassly trying to fix it then its worth.

USB not recognized

You need to have the LWS 1.1 driver loaded. You can get it directly from the Logitech web site on this link. After loading it reboot your computer, plug in the 3500, and then try the free webcam test site to verify it is working properly.

My windows xp campaq laptop will not recognize the logitec 9000 webcam software.

Try to install first the driver of the cam which is in your cd/dvd driver. during the setup process, there's a step that ask you to connect the hardware which is a cam and then plug the cam and continue setup, after finishing installation, restart the computer then that's the time your cam recognized, then continue little remaining setup to finally complete the installation.

White lines on webcam picture

Since it works OK on one machine, it has to be the software or settings.
Launch the Logitech toolbar onto your desktop during the problem time of day.
Plug the webcam in and start it using the Quick Capture button ( 2 film frames picture )
With the cam running open the 'Settings' menu ( 2 gear wheel picture )
Return to default
Run down the menu down the left hand side checking Anti flicker - right light etc for improvements
If no improvement can be found - disconnect webcam - uninstall software - restart computer and download by going to the Logitech support website - identify your webcam - click on it and download software.

Device not recognized

It seems that the camera has died and is probably the USB plug at fault. If your a computer savy, you can try to replace the USB plug and re solder the connections together. If off warranty, it is much more efficient to buy a new one.

Logitech camera plugged in but still can't recognise device. It always says device not pluged in.

please, note if the USB drivers for logitech were installed when the rest of software was. only as that the motherboard will recognize the webcam.

in the logitech's webcam cd, you'll see a chapter with only USB DRIVERS. if not, you can find them in www.driverguide.com.
it's free registration and easy to use site.
