Our computer hard drive crashed, we have several hundred dollars of downloaded music that is presently on our RCA H100A MP3 player, but would like to back it up on the new computer.
The MP3 player works fine until we plug the cable into it and the computer, then it says connected and then we cant do anything else with it. We have downloaded Micro soft service update 2 and loaded the RCA Plays for Sure disk that came with the MP3 player. Any help greatly appreciated. Please email email@example.com

You will have to do that using a computer, to do that using a computer, you will have to connect the device to a computer using the usb. Then when the autoplay is on, select open file to view folder, then you go to the music on the device, then you highlight all and right click, then you select delete, it will delete all the songs off the mp3 player and from there it will be the way it was when you first bought it, empty and ready to receive new music on it.
Hope this was helpful. Thanks for using fixya.
i believe that is a formating error basically telling you the player need to be reformatted and then you will have to reload all music on it. i dont have this particular player. i am just going by best guesstimate. dont hold me to it contact the manufactures website and they should be able to provide more details.
