You will need to upgrade your memory RAM to the maximum amount available for your PC. This will help your processor and graphics card to run more smoothly when streaming videos. I would also update the graphics card with the newest drivers

100% cpu usage

In Task Manager, go to the Processes tab and sort by the CPU column. See what is hogging up all your CPU. It may be a virus, if so, I recommend downloading Malware Bytes and doing a full scan. Warning, it could take several hours to scan depending on the size of your machine. Good luck!

CPU usage 100%

This is due to memory and program usage.
Depending on your computers specs. try these steps
1. Disk clean and defrag
2. Virus, spyware, malware, Trojan, rocket scan and removal
3. Registry cleaner and optimizer
4. Check disc space on the C: drive
5. Turn off unnessasery programs auto starting

If this does not work it maybe that you need to upgrade your computer or add some extra RAM.

Yea, it may be time to upgrade. To be honest an upgrade may not be even enough. Start considering a whole new system if you want to take advantage of today's media rich environments.

Streaming video uses 100% of cpu

are you using the built in video card? if you are that system will really experience that CPU consumption, it is best to have an expansion Video card since it will use its own resources iunstead of the CPU's.

100% CPU usage

Hi,

Try to monitor the CPU usage before opening CROME. If it is normal before opening it then there is some process under CROME which takes you CPU usage report to GOOGLE on this. and remove it through Add/Remove programmes under control panel.

Try to use Firefox instead of CROME.

If it happens again then there is some thing wrong with OS( most probabaly Spyware or trozen).

Streaming hulu, youtube videos in HD

You have plenty of CPU power. It will max out because the cpu is constantly processing the information to continue streaming the information to your screen, that is very normal. I would suggest some more RAM, at least 1 gig and only get a different video card if your into heavy game play with the newer online games out there.

I'm suggesting the extra RAM because it is a good way to make sure the more of the information is streaming at one time so there is less of a chance for interruption during streaming. Hope this helps.
