Wont connect to the internet and i have a data plan

Pls define the phone Brand/model.
In general, there are 2 means of "wireless internet:
a) Through DATA plan of your mobile provider
b) Through Wifi

Let's see how to reach these 2:
a)
Data plan means that you can get DATA through your mobile connection. So you need to check your contract or ask your mobile provider if you already DO HAVE a DATA PLAN activated. If not, pls do so.
You also need to make the needed settings change in the phone (set APN,e.t.c.) based on the instructions by your mobile provider.
Take into account that in general a DATA PLAN costs much more than a LANDLINE internet connection (e.g. a DSL connection) that you could have from your home, so it's OK for mail and faceboko browsing but perhaps too expensive to download movies, games, e.t.c.

b)
Wifi is a wireless local area network. It can be password_protected or Open. Usually cafeterias and other shops or central squares offer Open Wifi for everyone to connect to.
Also, when one has a Landline DSL connection, there is a Wireless router installed, giving the possibility to connect to this DSL wireless (with WiFi).
So you could even connect to your neighbor's wifi if that is Open.

If you're trying to access the Internet on your phone but have not signed up for a Data Service plan with your Cellular service Provider, you'll receive the message, "Subscribe to Packet Data First."

do you have a data plan (internet connect) with your carrier? yes just go to internet download games... no carrier data plan...go to web site using a PC download the game to pc .....then copy/paste to cell (connecting cell using a usb data cable)

Make sure that your phone has an enterprise data plan or unlimited data plan. These plans have internet access included. If you have this kind of plan, all you have to do is to locate and open your phone's internet browser, and you should be able to access the web.

But if you're planning to connect the phone to a hot spot, it's not possible, because this phone does not have a WiFi adapter installed.

With your service do you have an internet plan? Data package is basically your internet plan that you pay to your carrier, if you are not paying your carrier to have internet on your phone you wont be able to use the internet on your phone.

BlackBerries have different browsing profiles. Most likely your default is set to WiFi or HotSpot browser. Also, if you don't have a data plan with your carrier that might explain it. Without a data plan these phones can only connect through WiFi. Try going into the browser, selecting options and making sure that the default browser is Internet Browser.
