probably dump file was deleted or dump file creation was interrupted , reason for a missing file or an empty file name.Another file of the same nature may be created again if the same blue screen message appears again for the same problem.

Dell inspiron 15R win8/win7 dual boot went into coloured blocks, and pink and blue stripesi

I would say your Graphics Adapter is going. Has it been overheating? Have you cleaned the Fan, Vents, Heatsink? Have you connected to a External Monitor? If the problem follows to the external monitor it's likely a Graphics Adapter problem, which is a problem in a laptop. Have you tried booting to Safe Mode? In safe mode your windows software will use the generic graphics driver.

Dell inspiron 1545 blue screen

error code 116 usually means your graphics card has malfunctioned.

I would suggest that you go to Dell technical support website and download the latest graphics driver for your computer.

Also make sure you run Windows Update and install all latest updates from Microsoft.

I have a dell 580 inspiron thats does not turn on..before it turned on but now it just beeps and doesnt follow through with start up.......i had a blue screeen before this ....thanxx

Blue screen could be the windows files getting corrupted due to a virus, file fragmentation or a failing hard drive, overheating cpu or failing memory.
The beeping usually indicates a hardware failure, first open the computer and see it the CPU heatsink is in place properly seated and fan is connected and spinning.
Second with the PC off, remove and reinsert the memory.
These are just a few things to check , most likely the hard drive has failed and needs replacing.
pressing certain keys during bootup can sometimes isolate the issue, but only if the monitor still shows a picture
I hope this helps
Thanks
Roety

Try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs
Just run fewer programs or buy additional RAM click start right click on my computer select properties you will see all imformation about your computer including installed ram

or processor upgrades. Your computer is running past its specified limits. But remember that in this case the blue screen of death should happen extremely infrequently. If you see the physical memory dump blue screen much more often then the issue is clearly
click start right click on my computer, properties advanced scroll down to system and recovery open settings write and debugging information the drop down button select none
ideally, it should already be the default debugger for your system.
The Dr. Watson debugger program logs all information related to failed processes to the Drwtsn32.log file. In addition to this, the debugger program can be configured to create memory dump files related to the failed processes. You can refer these dump files to analyze the reason behind a process failure.
Perform the following steps to configure Dr. Watson as the default debugger program to record user-mode program errors:

  1. Open Start menu, select Run, type Drwtsn32.exe -I and then press Enter. This command sets Dr. Watson as the default debugger.
  2. Next, run the Drwtsn32.exe command.
  3. In the Dr. Watson for Windows dialog box, select the following check boxes:
    • Append to Existing Log File
    • Visual Notification
    • Create Crash Dump File
  4. Now, when your computer restarts after the STOP 0xC000021A error is generated, run the Dr. Watson command.
  5. Here, view the paths to the Dr. Watson and User.dmp logs.
  6. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the log files and then open them.
  7. Here, check the cause behind the STOP 0xC000021A error.
also you might download and use this registry cleaner it is 100%totally free to use

hope this helps you

Bluescreen error, have rebooted in safemode...nothing im doing is working!! help

  1. If the blue screen stays up long enough, write down the stop code and either post that back here or look up what it means. It usually is in the format of 0X0000000. This code could point to a potential hardware problem or other issue.
  2. Try reseating the systems RAM.
Post back your progress,

Cheers

Dell Inspiron 1525 Blue screen & windows error messages/reformat

Do a recovery first and if you are still getting a blue screen on this 1525 call dell and ask for a replacment do not go any further in trying to repair it yourself as anything you do would just make matters worse if its out of warrenty then the only thing you can do is try:

1. clean the unit if there is any dust
2. try new memory modules
3. run a memory diagnostic on it using windos diagnostics
4. recover the operating system.

I hope you have some good luck with this advice.
