No I dont need two fans, where did you get that from.I need the fan motor for the indoor unit.I had an airconditioner mechanic come to my place and he told me the fan motor had blown and that it would be very hard to get the part for a centrex airconditoner, thats why Im searching for the part.I sent and email to whirlpool and had to say I was in America to submit my email, that was pretty useless.

  • sodivine Apr 09, 2008

The link you gave me only sent me to the website,I followed your instructions and found the fan motors, but I found two types and I had no idea which fan motor I needed. It didnt say for Centrex airconditoner.I just hope they do reply to me.

Hey mate. I am in Australia, Brisbane. Tech 17 has the answer for you, can you pull the motor from the unit and get some detail off of it. There are guys about that can also repair just about any sort of motor if you cant get a replacement. OR whip down to Bunnings and get a replacement split system for like $600 :)

where abouts are you and I can hook you up to some spare parts agents

The closest to a service agent is i could find below. They have sold Centrex appliances in the past. Centrex themselves in Australia went into receivership sept 2007, so spares from them will be scattered everywhere. I would suggest you also contact Chandlers service here in Brisbane. They have a large service department and may have a stock of spare parts that you can source spares from.

But mate, your continuous reply to solutions of "can you find me the part or not" makes me wonder if you are asking for us to ring around for you. Because it is a long weekend here(as you know).

Your best solution is to get the numbers of the motor itself, and then cross reference it to one that probably fits a dozen different makes and models. This is how you will get the replacement part.

try Betta Electrical Archerfield QLD is located at 901-903 Beaudesert Road, Archerfield. Ph 3277 8570

    or

ABC Electrical. They used to be repair agents for the product.
you can get there contact and address details here.

I urgently need a air-conditioned condenser fan motor

Depends where you live you can contact united air conditioning this is a parts store. Grainger would have it. You need to have the horse power of the motor and the RPM of the motor and the amps. you will be able to find a replacement for it with this information. Be sure to tell them its a dual shaft motor.

Anyone know where I can get a fan motor for the indoor unit of my centrex CTAR65GW split system air conditioner. i think the motor may be generic for most of the cheaper split air conditioners. Denis

Hi,
I buy alot of those motors through www.grainger.com

match up the hp, rpm, shaft size, mounting, voltage, etc... this can take a bit, but you will find a motor for partically anything there...

I have an airconditioner a Kelvinator KSR20C Split system

Your condensor fan motor has more than likely gone out. This fan should run at all times when the unit is on. Since the fan isn't working then the motor must have gone out.

Centrex a/c keeps shutting off every 15 minutes ( split system)

To start, check your condencer fan and make sure the condenser is clean. After that you will need a technician with instruments. If the switching off is constant, after approx. every 15 min.it could be switching off on high pressure.
