Fn key combinations on wireless Acer tablet PC

Great website!! Fn key combinations on my wireless Acer keyboard model KG-0917, tablet PC disabled external numeric keypad numbers, tho numeric key pad NumLock light remains on and its operator keys work (+-/). Running Windows 7 (Windows NT). Suggestions? How do I enable numbers to work again on my numeric keypad? Thank you in advance! I accidently pressed the keyboard Fn+NumLk key in (panic) trying to locate key combination for Interrupt key, since my keyboard has no BREAK key. Fn+F12, Fn+F9, and Esc all failed, so MS Word crashed in testing a macro (probably because I left my computer on overnight again/has happened before). I found how to enable typing normal characters, instead of numbers, from the keyboard. Only solution I know so far is to shut down, unplug keypad, and after restart, plug in the numeric key pad again.

On that keyboard, the numpad is integrated into the alphabetical keys on the right side of the keyboard. You have to fit Fn + NumLk in order to turn the NumLock off and make it work normally again.

SOURCE: Keyboard beeps when any key is pressed

I found out what was wrong in my case. Someone had tampered with the accessibility options

So for anyone with keyboard problem check :
In Windows XP : control panel-> accessibility options -> keyboard : StickyKeys and Filterkeys checkboxes should be unchecked.

In Windows Vista : Ease of access -> Ease of access center -> keyboard : StickyKeys and Filterkeys checkboxes should be unchecked.

SOURCE: where's F9 to F12?

Go to this link. http://support.gateway.com/s/desktop/2009/gateway/dx/dx4300/DX4820faq4.shtml

It involves pressing the FN key next to the spacebar and then pressing one of the arrow keys next to the F8 key at the top.

I HAVE AN ACER KG-0917 (wireless keyboard) THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME, BUT IT DONT HAVE A USB THING TO PUT IN COMPUTER....IS IT BLUETOOTH?

No markings on the dongle except for a (removeable!) sticker listed as RG-0918.
The keyboard is KG-0917
FCC ID: E8HKG-0917

This unit came with an InFocus projector.
If you are considering purchasing one: don't!
ANY modern Logitech or Microsoft keyboard will get you better compatibility and possibly security, too.

On the other hand, it picked up in Win7 as standard HID with no external drivers needed.

You can enable or disable your wireless with a combination of keys on your keyboard, or with a dedicated wireless switch. On Acer notebooks and netbooks, the following methods are used:
  • A dedicated button, located above the keyboard.
  • A toggle switch, located on the front or side of the device.
  • The FN and the key with the wireless icon on your keyboard. Usually, the key combination Fn + F3 is used.

Wan connection

In newer laptops, turning on the WAN (wifi) radio receiver is done via keyboard key combination.

Look closely at the function keys. Do you see any wifi radio icon printed in orange or any color that is not similar to the normal key color? In some model, a wifi icon (looks like a wave like ")))" is in F2. Now pressing FN+F2 turns the wifi ON. Press and hold down the FN key and press F2 (or the key where the wifi icon is printed) to turn on your WAN.
