LOSS OF SAT/RECPTION MY GPS KEEPS SAYING NO SATELITE RECPTION HOWDO I FIX THE PROBLEM

Before or after finding Sat Nav . Vague Question

Few reasons this may occur, most you can do something about.

1) Make sure the battery is fully charged before commencing journey ( USB or mains charger)
2) Plug the GPS in after the engine is started to protect the delicate SIIRF chip.NEVER Start engine with GPS connected.
3) Ensure you have a clear uninterrupted view ofd the sky. Place the GPS closer to the windscreen if poss and away from Phone..stereo or other electronic devices

4) If your unit supports it get an external antenna to plug in ( magnetic base mouse antenna)

5) check BAUD and PORT are set correctly.

i think its your car ,like a wire loose ,dont have one myself i use a map or just stop and ask a local ,only another toy for some junkie to break in and nick for their next fix ,i have nothing in my car and rarely lock it and if its nicked its worth more on the insurance

update your sat nav by going to the quick gps fix. I recently couldn't get a signal and wonderd why this was happening. You need to do the gps update /fix - I did last night and I tested it this morning and now everything is back to normal!

frozen screen won't connect

you need to go outside in an open area with no trees around and turn the garmin on untill it receives a sat connection it can take several minutes for it to find it
