The selenoid valve has some trash in it. Take the valve off of the back. It should be just a few screws, a couple of wire plugs and one hose on the inside. Then a few screws to take the valve apart. Just slide selenoids off with a flathead screwdriver. Take the rest apart and clean the diaphrams with soap and a small brush or something. I hope this helps.MODEL #KAWS750L WILL NOT SHUT OFF THE WATER - 0b312a2.gif63c5266.gif

Hi, My top loading kitchen aid washing machine model KAWS750J is not working. The agitator doesn't spin anymore and the entire chamber doesn't spin for washing and drying. I hear the motor going but it...

Your machine may have a coupling that has failed, this is a rubber and plastic coupling, designed to reduce noise. They fail and the machine will barely work... This is not a hard replacement. Open the machine and look near the motor.

The washer only fills to one small level with water the adjustments don't seem to matter

you have to remove the console and check the water level switch at the wire connector. make sure is not burn out and that the plastic hose is not pinch, bent. removed and blow in it. if you feel any resistance take the cabinet out and inspect. also your water level switch may be bad.

good luck to you.

Washer won't stop filling

Does the water stop filling if machine is unplugged? If yes, bad water valve inside washer.

If water stops when unplugged, may be a faulty pressure switch or airdome hose came loose from switch - located in control panel - water level switch.

If water keeps filling and never overflows onto floor - likely that water is siphoning out drain hose. Raise drain hose higher or allow an air break at the drain hose exit.

WONT STOP FILLING, NOT WATER VALVE

Sounds like shut off switch is bad or stuck some how. You will need to find it and check it.

Hope this was helpful.
Good Luck

I have a Kitchenaid washer model # KAWS750L, leaking at bottom

The most common leak in a KitchenAid washer is from the water pump. The easiest way to see is slightly tilt it up with a small load. If there are many clothes and water in the tub it will be to heavy. Get a light, and tilt the washer up a few inches. Prop it up with something even. Now, lay on the floor and as the washer is running watch for the water leak. The pump is at the front of the washer, directly in the middle. so it's only about 1-2 inches behind the front of the cabinet. I would be very surprised if it was anything but the pump.

The pump you will need is one of two. I've looked up your model number. After the KAWS750L there is either a Q or a T followed by a number. That letter and number make the difference. This pump can be bought for as low as $40 up to $70. It depends on the pump, and where you buy it from :)
