Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Is it the tv's remote? Change the batteries
are you on a cable box? You need to use the providers channel changer. Tv is made to stay on one channel like channel 3 and the cable box runs the different channels.

I only get 3 channels--and none of them I want! Does this TV only work with a cable attached? Which doesn't make it portable!

If you live in the US and the TV doesn't have the newer ATSC (digital) tuner, you're lucky to get 3 channels! The only analog broadcasts left in the US are "low power" & "translator" stations. The old NTSC analog tuners in TV's from just a few years back have little to tune since broadcasters have been moved and changed from analog to digital as directed by the FCC in 2009.

I hope this helps & good luck. Please rate my reply. Thank you.

Ever since digital TV started, I have had a problem with my picture occasionally glitching/pixilating, plus the sound freezes when this happens and I lose part of the broadcast. I currently have an HD TV...

Basically you are not going to get good quality TV reception on an internal antenna unless you live very close to the transmitter aerial with no significant metal structures (including buildings) in the way. You may get a slight improvement by placing the antenna near a window and away from any large pieces of metal or other electrical devices, especially any with a large magnetic field (anything with a motor in it). You may improve the signal / noise ratio by making sure that you have good quality, foil screened (satelite grade) cable between your antenna and TV set.
If the building has a (shared) roof top antenna you might get a better signal, which can be boosted using an in-line signal amplifier from that - but only if it is pointed at the right transmitter. However, as you will be installing the amplifier close to your set it will (just like the amplified antenna you are using) also amplify any electrical interference picked up by the cable as it passes down through the building - including from cars outside.
However your best bet is going to be cable or satelite TV

Tested and verified solution:
  1. Set Tuner Mode to "antenna".
  2. Run a channel scan. Should get zero channels found.
  3. Set Tuner Mode to "cable".
  4. Run another channel scan.
  5. Celebrate!

Samsung flat screen tv 1 y.o. getting no picture just grey....t.v. says no input device "air 34" I have comcast cable. The other two tv's are getting perfect reception. I fell asleep with the tv on "sleep"...

Try to set up channel SEARCH again, this lets some tv`s find the cable channels and lock them in to the available one, also make sure the reception mode is on cable, "air 34" could be an antenna connection mode.

You gotta have a way to get signal to the tv . If you don't want a outside antenna use rabbit ears .After you hook them up hide them behind the tv then do a channel scan. If you don't pick up all the stations set them on top and scan again or get satillite or cable hd boxes.

My new tv only gets some channels and not others

Have you tried an amplified antenna? It's basically a regular antenna but includes an amplifier to help bring in weak stations. An out door antenna may also help. I live about 3 miles from a TV station and can't pick them up due to the insanely old apartment I live in.
