Question about HP DeskJet 5150 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Keep getting error The Print Cartridge Cradle Cannot move. I have taken all taken all the paper out, there is no jam. I have disconnected the printer and computer at all connections. Still happens. When I try and print I can hear the cradle try to move but it remains on the right. I have taken out and re-installed both cartridges. Pressing all the reset buttons on the left does not work. I cannot turn off the printer by hitting the power button. Only way now is to disconnect it. Or....is it just dead. A.D.

No.is not ...probably it is something wrong with the cartridges ..either damaged or the cradle is stuck for some reason ...take them out again ..and check with care and see what can be wrong ...pay attention on the mounting in back ...and try again ...I suspect that the alignment of the cradle was not in the right place ..and thats why it is stuck...just try to get it out ..or move it from a side...a little..
Anyway after that if it has reset for drumm in the menu ..make all the resets available ...even for counter ..and see if it work s....
if it is not ...probably the cartridges are damaged...if you just refilled them and not used a new ones it may happen during the process..

I keep getting an error message about a paper jam for my printer but there is absolutely no paper jammed anywhere in the machine.

Have you tried a new toner cartridge, The toner cartridge has moving parts, and of the cartridge gets stuck, the printer may indicate a paper jam.

Also paper often tears when clearing jams, and the little shreds of paper can stay in the rollers of the printer and keep it jammed. Make sure to inspect all the rollers to make sure they move freely, and do not have anything stuck in them.

My printer keeps saying print cartridge cradle is stuck clear jam then press ok, but there is no paper jam

Because it's NOT a paper jam, but a cartridge cradle jam, I suppose it's an ink jet printer??? if so, check for debrie arround the cradle shaft that could prevent the printing cradle to move from left to wright... you could also lubricate the shaft by rubbing a little bit of grease on it with the tip of your finger (verry thin layer), as ink sometimes gets on it and tends to become sticky with time...

Cartridge cradle can't move, says paper is empty when it's not

OK....try removing the carts, close the printer, turn off, then disconnect...alot of the problems with the newer HP printers has to do with their ROM memory....if that doesn't work, then there is defintely something in the paper path, no matter how small. Try to eliminate the copy function....does the error happen as soon as the printer is finished powering up??

Error Message: "The print cartridge cradle cannot move"

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

The print cartridge cradle cannot move.

"The print cartridge cradle cannot move."
I fixed this problem by disconnecting the power cord from the power-strip and connecting it directly into the wall. My printer was not getting enough voltage from the power-strip. I hope this helps.

Print cartridge cradle is stuck ican't find where it is jammed

This might help . . . Mine finished printing one doc & then made a terrible noise & sent a message to my screen that "print cartridge cradle is stuck." When i opened door, i could see it was stuck off to the left side so left cartridge was obscured. I could not get it to budge, although i kept turning it off, gently pushing & turning it back on. Finally, i got my hand inside & determined that the little door to the left-side cartridge had popped open & was causing it to remain stuck. After some struggles (turn off printer first!) i was able to maneuver it around & close it tight. Now, all is well . . .
