Question about Konica Minolta Maxxum 4 / Dynax 4 QD 35mm SLR Camera

1 Answer

The Rewind has broken

I've replaced the batteries and now all that shows on the screen is: 400, the rewind symbol, three underscores, and a flashing 0. The back is sill locked but it sounded like my film rewound. The manual rewind button does nothing.

How can I open the back? The lock is still engaged. Is there a way to override the lock?

The first thing you need to do to establish whether there's really a problem is to replace the film. It seems like after the battery change the camera simply rewound the film.

If the shots are special and you don't want the risk of ruining them, open the back of the camera in total pitch black darkness and then feel to check whether the film is rewound or not.

How to rewind/fast forward trough currently listening segment?

Touch the screen, and 'reverse', 'pause', and 'forward' icons will momentarily appear on the lower portion of the screen. Before the icons vanish, touch either the forward or reverse icon and continue to hold your finger on the icon without lifting it off of the screen. Fast forward or rewind will then begin, at a rate of 5 seconds per second held. I am told after holding for 15 seconds or longer the speed of the fast forward may increase (true for other Coby models I have owned), but so far I have had no luck getting this to occur with my MP828.

I have a 36 exposure film in the camera with 25 pictures taken and I want to remove the film without taking more photos. How do I rewind?

To rewind the film mid-roll, press the two film rewind buttons simultaneously for one second. The two buttons are marked with a red film symbol, and double as the Auto Exposure Bracketing button to the left of the viewfinder and the Aperture/Exposure Compensation button to the right of the control panel.

The film is completely rewound when a blinking "E" shows in the control panel.

FILM WILL NOT REWIND

On the N80 - there are custom functions you can set in terms of when a film rewinds. Normally it is default to rewinding automatically at the end of a film. If this setting has been changed, or you want to rewind a film before the end - you need to press two buttons and hold them, at the same time.

The first button is the LCD backlight button next to the LCD, and the second is the flash sync button on the rear of the camera. Both should have a little red film symbol on them. Press them both and hold them, and the film should begin to rewind.

Flashing square, pix # and 2 underscores

According to the manual this looks like the batteries died during rewind. You'll need to replace them or recharge them, then power the camera back on and re-initiate the film rewind process

You can find a link to the manual at this address:

Do you still have the remote control? Try with the remote. If this works, the button of the camera is broken and have to be replace by a qualified technician. Good luck!

No playback on DCR-TRV103

In playback mode the lCD displays the battery time, hi8 symbol and the tape counter. all the functions work the tape will play, rewind, fast forward. The screen stays blank on playback and the tape counter stays at 0:00:00 eventhough I can see the tape turning. I also hooke the camera to my tv and I got no picture.
