Take the accsess cover off of the out side unit ther you will se the contactor switch you can usually push these in with a screwdriver and the compressor will come on. if it does not it is usually the 208/240/24v tarnsformer and you can chec to see if you have 24v in and 240 out and if you have these voltages then replace the contactor

Hooked up new 4 wire fan 2 condensor with a new 2 cap fan runs fine but no compresor?installed as was told with nothing runnng 2 the new cap but the brown wires but compresor isnt kicking on

The compressor could be bad there is two ways to tell with an ohm meter check each lead off the compressor and to ground for continunity or a megometer . You can always try a hard start kit. It is a super capicator that multiplies starting voltage. Have you checked all connections? There might be a low\ high Pressure switch in the referigent lines if that is bad it won't allow the unit to start. Also is it a heat pump or straight a/c the heat pumps have circut control boards in the unit that control everything

AC unit GOODMAN modelGSC130421AC was working good and today stop working the fan work but the compresor dont start

Check your circuit breakers and fuses. If it tripped breakers or blew fuses it may be because the outdoor coil is stopped up with dirt. If it is wash it out real good with a water sprayer.

The compresor and fan not doesn't running but the relay work ok

If the contactor pulls in but nothing run check for power across it. If you have power then check the wireing for bad or burnt. Also coould be the capictor.

Refrigerator tries to come on but doesnt

Probably you heard a click on and off when the compresor is trying to start , that could be the relay or the compresor went bad .Try replacing the relay (no more than $30) If the compresor doesn't start is either burned or stuck and has to be replaced.

Fan running but dont hear comp. turning on

First check for burned wires in all the componnents in the condensing unit ,also the compresor terminals ,if they're all ok and if you know how and have a tester check the compresor if is not burned or grounded. After that you can replace the capacitor (is no more than $20) and if still won't start it means the compresor is either burned or stock. You can also try to put a start booster in parallel with the capacitor ,sometimes it helps it to start.

Goodman A/C model ch42-1 cooling fan not working

These motors start with the capacitor, that could be the problem in most of the cases ,but sometimes even if the capacitor is new they don't start or after a while they stop by overload.First try replacing the capacitor(no more than $10) and keep an eye on it beacause if this fan at the condensing unit doesn't work it could damage the compresor.
