Question about Washing Machines

I don't think the washer is working properly because after the initial fill up no water is coming out of the holes on the paddles. It just rotates one direction, stops and then does it again during the wash cycle. How can rolling wet clothes around get them clean?

I have an LG model LDS4821 dishwasher that quit washing clean. Top rack is the dirtiest. Water is hot and bottom drain is clean.

The most likely cause is a blocked or clogged wash arm. Many times when the wash stops the debris blocking the spray will back away. The holes in the arm are aimed to cause the arm to rotate. The clogged hole is usually an outer diameter hole which provides the force for the arm to rotate.

Some upper end washers have a blocked arm sense to alert when arm is blocked.

Careful not to deform the geometry of the hole when removing the debris. Tweezers work the best.

GE Washer WBB2090F1WW will not fill and will not spin. Where do I start to troubleshoot as these seem like unrelated problems? Thank you for any assistance.

Both are initiated by the programmer unit? Is the water supply getting to the machine, has a tap/valve inadvertently been closed. i If water is getting to it then if the programmer is working correctly the pump should trandport the water? If water is not being introduced the machine will not rotate.
I think the issues are both associated with a faulty programmer probably

I have a model lse7806ace maytag stackable washer/dryer unit. Initially, the washer would not do anything. I replaced the lid switch and it then filled and agitated at the same time... but when it went...

Ok , when you pull out the washer knob to start it the water fills . Can you stop the filling by pushing the knob in? if so the water valve is ok.
There is a sensing tube from the tub which connects to the pressure switch. This is what causes the water level pressure switch to shut off at the correct level. I would suspect this as they replaced the pressure switch and it keeps filling. If this is the case there is a small hole which will cause the pressure switch not to turn off the fill valves.

You can check this by removing the tube and submerging it in some water then blow in the tube while blocking the other end , if you see bubbles it is leaking and needs replacing.Hope this helps

Our bosch SD13J1B don t switch on. Water incom is OK. Electrisiti is too OK.

Possible that the program controller unit can be faulty if the cycle is not initiated after the water is filled into the unit. Now does the water stops after the initial filling? If not the pressure swtich must be checked. Also the door switch, the connections to the washer must be looked into to ensure that all contacts are intact to the program controler. If the washer still wont work then the Program controller is a prime suspect.

Rud4000mq0 the paddle does not spin, i'm getting water but the paddle 's not spinning

Hello. Have you actually seen the water flowing thriugh the paddle? I suggest taking the washer out of its home. Remove the arm in question. Spray a good amount of CLR on the mounting hub and through the arm Calcium does build up and cause the force of water to be less than needed to rotate the arm. Its also ok to run some CLR in the washer once a month when its empty to keep it running calcium free. Thank you , Quinn

When starting the washer, it occasionally will not fill

Check the drain hose. The open end of the pipe the hose drains into must be higher than the top of the washer's tub (usually 30 inches or so off the floor, minimum) or the water can siphon right out. The drain hose should not be a sealed connection to the drain pipe. Try to extend the drain pipe up to about 36 inches off the floor level.
