Some buzz is common in most low voltage power packs. Yours may be overloaded. It is a 100 watt power supply. That means you can only connect five 20 watt bulbs, ten 10 watt bulbs, or twenty 5 watt bulbs. Also this must be on very short runs of low voltage wire. If you use these on a long run, like 75' or more then you need a much heavier wire. Lamp wire works well. A short or loose connection anywhere in the wiring will also cause the transformer to buzz. Sometimes they just buzz and your only solution is to replace it if the noise bothers you.

I am using a 35 watt bulb only with a 50 foot cord. So, I don't see why it would be buzzing loudly. Also, the light isn't working, so I'm afraid I'm doing something wrong. Are there any other issues it could be?

Just make sure you have it connected properly with the two wires not touching each other. Sounds like you nay have a short in the wiring. Connect the light to the power supply with a known good short 2' piece of wire and see if it works as it should. If so, use a multimeter to test your 100' run of wire to see if it is shorted which I suspect is your problem. Disconnect the wire at the transformer and at the light. Now set the multimeter on OHMS and with one end of the wire disconnected and the 2 wires not touching each other check across the other 2 wires at the other end of your 100' run of wire. Red probe on one wire and black probe on the other. If you get a reading on the ohm meter the wire has a short in it. Replace the wire or find the short and repair it.
