Question about Sanyo 12KHS71 Split System Air Conditioner

1 Answer

Removing humidity I have not heard the pump working on my Sanyo to remove the humidity. There is no water anywhere that I can see. Can this happen when there is not too much humidity in the air? There is 30% now.

I am finding that the plasma cool ACW600C is leaking a lot of water

air conditions work by removing the humidity from the room air
very humid air will cause a lot of condensation in the evaporator section especially if you have it set below 25 c
keep all doors and windows closed to prevent fresh air bringing in more humid air as that makes it hard for the ac to work efficiently

My breezair evaporative cooling system can not cool.the air flow is very worm, anyone can tell me this problem?

what is the weather like is it humid ?
Humid weather will render any evaporative cooler ineffective !
Have you got the windows and doors open to the building ?
Evaporative cooling relies on putting water in the air and pumping the air out of the building. If it is humid the air already contains water and no extra water is added to the air and no cooling occurs.

Goes on.... humidity % registers 70 but in just a minute or 2 it begis to decline and ends up at Lo which then wont pull water from the air. I know it is humid, some sensor must be getting fouled up.

70% is not what the dehumidifier is removing. It's what it is maintaining. Which is extremely high humidity. To lower the humidity level in the house lower it to 35%. That will remove a large amount of humidity over a fairly short (4 hours) period of time. If you have an analog unit (no LED Screen) set the humidity extraction knob on Maximum, which is 35%.

Keep in mind, dehumidifiers work the opposite of what you think.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa..

Brand new dehumidier 2 weeks old, is not removing anyhumidity , no water in the tank and nothing coming out from the hose, i set it at 70 grades temperature , is not removing any humidity at all . Also i...

There are 5 basic, but solvable reasons for what you described. Please pay particular attention to numbers 1 & 2.

1. The humidity extraction level is set to HIGH. Lower it to 32-35%.

2. Air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Turn unit OFF, & Unplug the
Unit, before removing to inspect & clean it, if necessary. If washed,
allow filter to completely dry before reinstalling. DO NOT operate
the unit without the filter.

3. Obstructed air flow. Maintain a minimum of 12 to 18" of clear air
space around the entire unit.

4. Cooling coils are dirty and need to be cleaned. Use warm water & dish washing liquid to
clean the coils. Rinse and wipe dry. Apply a light coating of WD40 to the coils.

5. Ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees.
dehumidifiers do not work well between those temperatures
(Unless, you have a Low Temp Unit). This applies mainly to
where the air temperature at floor level is colder than at shoulder level
in basement applications. Raising the unit up off the floor,
onto a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that can handle the weight
of the unit, plus a full tank of water, will usually resolve this
problem.

If none of the above solves the problem, it may be a case of the compressor needs to be recharged with refrigerant gas or that the Humid-i-stat sensor has failed. These things usually occur in units that are 5 years old or older. It's rare in a unit younger than that. But, it can happen.

No all of the above may apply to your circumstance, but keep them in mind for non water collecting problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Out of 48 PTACs why only one is releasing too much water

There may be a breeze or draft near it. The wall or something around it may be damp. Maybe alot of human or animal activity near it. There can be many causes for humidity. Then again, the unit may just run better then the rest and removing more moisture.

When my Rudd air conditioner/heat pump is running, water pours out of the bottom of the unit. What could be causing this?

It's working properly. Air conditioners make it feel cooler by removing humidity from the air.

Where to put water

Has someone told you A/C units need water? This I've never heard of. The water you see dripping from an A/C unit is the condensate dripping off the evaporator -- it's removing water from the air when it cools it.

Razr phone freezes up

Its common with motos razors to get freeze ups. I even heard about it happening when sending sms or working on the calendar. If you think it might be the humidity, you could try putting it in an airing cupboard for a few days, with bat disconnected. If nothing works, try getting it fixed on warranty if valid, just don't mention the humidity part ;] good luck
