Question about Cub Cadet Street Sign- tractor lawn riding mower parts

Open Question

Cub cadet model 145-734-100 will not start! No voltage to spark plug. Found grounded Yellow wire that goes to safety switch. Must have been a bare wire but it still will not start. Does this model have a coil? If so where is it located?

Cub Cadet 1282. Model# 142-680-399. Will not start/turn over.Have clicking from Solenoid, changed out same thing.

Check Under Your Seat to see if your Safety Switch has A Broken Wire Or is Frayed or disconnected. They are designed Not to Start Unless Someone is sitting on it and stop if you get off. If that Wire has a Bare spot It Will Ground out and that's why The Solenoid will Engage But The Starter Will Not.

Cub Cadet i1045 turns over but won't start. New plug, fuel pump. Is it a safety switch? how can I tell?

I hate these new machines with all the safety stuff.

I bet there is at least the safety switch under the seat. If you jump those two wires together, that will bypass the possibly faulty switch and fake out the machine into thinking you are sitting on the seat. make sure the blade engagement lever is fully in the no run position. Now check for spark

Husqvarna kill switch

n my 79 390CR the white and yellow wires are taped off and not used.
The black and blue wire connectors plug onto the coil as you know, but my blue wire connector has a second blue wire in it.
The second blue wire goes to my kill button.
And yes, the green wire on a Honda switch would go to ground.
I believe the yellow wire is for lighting. Sorry I don't know what the white wire is for.
Hope this helps,

Cub cadet LT1046 will not start. Battery shows 13 amp, brand new ignition switch. fuse checked good. Kohler Commodore 23 HP engine. Model yr 2005.

This is most likely a ground problem. Remove the ground wire where it goes to the battery terminal and make sure it is clean. Then remove where it bolts to the frame and make sure that end makes contact with bare metal.

just trace the spark plug wire to the coil but you can check the spark by putting a new plug in the wire and make sure it is grounded and turn the engine over if you have spark then you have to pull the fly wheel off and check the fly wheel key

2160 cub cadet that wont spark to the plugs

You've solved for some of the equation. Spark. Fuel. Air.....all in the proper sequence. Now, what condition are the plugs ? I'd change them out if they have any wetness to them. Check your fuses as well. Another thing is the 'safety switches' - located in seat, on parking brake, etc. One of these could have come undone or gone bad/loose wire. I'm thinking the latter....

Cub cadet 2160 PTO problem

Yes, there is a switch on the motion lever on the transmission, but there is also a relay switch that is taped to the fuse under the hood of the mower...if this goes bad, the deck will not come on
