Volume control on keyboard does not work (mute does)

I too am having a similar problem, I have the bluetooth elite by microsoft, and i was working in my bios so i had my additional ps2 keyboard connected and when finished with bios and installing os i left the ps2 connected and installed the bluetooth software from microsoft that allows all the functions of the keyboard to work, afterwards, picking up the ps2 seeing that it was still connected i accidentally squeezed it's volume control, now every function and media key works on my bluetooth along with the mute button, but the volume is mapped to the ps2 and only works when it is plugged in, sucks,. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, i've tried plugging in the ps2 see it work, then uninstall while its plugged in, shut down the system restart and reinstall, i've tried every troubleshooting thing i could come up with, and now im just looking to see if i can just get down to the root of the problem and manually switch that option for volume from ps2 back to the usb, i've plugged a usb keyboard the used to work the volume alongside my bluetooth and it doesn't control it anymore either-

I've the same problem. Unistalling the software or re-installing the OS is futile. Any idea?
This problem happen to me only after a fresh OS installation. I've tried in another PC and the keyboard volume control works.
But when I format the HD and re-install the OS the problem return. All HW drivers and KBD drivers are ok....
