Question about Microsoft Works 9 for PC

1 Answer

I am using Microsoft Works 9.0 and when I save

I do medical transcription so a lot of medications and medical words are not recognized on the Works program so I add them and it will recognize the newly added words as spelled correctly for a period of time but then all of the sudden it will not recognize any of them any more. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling the program with the same results.

Dictaphone use for Medical Transcription

You'll need a digital recorder (Dictaphone makes one - a Walkabout Model 5220). Transferring a recording from an analog (tape) machine to a PC requires a patch cord to hook it up to your PC, then some sort of software to record it while it's playing back.

I do medical transcription. I plug my headphones

To begin with, if there is sound, your audio hub is working fine.
Seems to me that your headphones have a borken cable inside the cord...and that is causing the sound to "bounce" from one ear to the other.
Solution....
Get a new set of headsets.

Is it possible to convert a .wps format, to a .pages format?

when at school go to the file "save as" option and you should be able to save the wps document into a word format ( using the drop down menu at the bottom to select microsoft word document ) or something along those lines.

You should then be able to use that in pages and email it back to an email account ( that you have or use ) in a word format or maybe save it as a word document.

The other option would be to download and install open office ( http://www.openoffice.org ) and bring the documents from school to home as a word document as per above and use open office to do what you need to do and save it as a word document again and you should be able to do it that way.

Short of that speak with the IT person and see if they can use open office ( pages is a mac only piece of software from what im aware ) so dont think that will be an option at your school where as open office should be as its free.
