the problem might be worse than you think. If the screen is not displaying, then a display ic must have been burnt on the screen inverter or panel, that's why there is no display.
The fault is more of technical issue and not resetting. Expect any fault from electronics, because some times the serve you well and the other, they might just misbehave for not reason.
If you don't have the technical ability to fix the screen problem, then I would advice that you take it to a repair man.
