Soap residue...back down the soap usage. Run a cycle with an empty dishwasher with 5-6 cups of white vinegar to break up the residue.

How do you remove white residue caused by the dishwasher?

If the white residue is a soapy substance cut down on the amount of detergent you are using. If it is a mineral built up, try using some TANG or another type or citric acid and wash thru with no dishes in the dish washer. The tub should come out sparkling clean!!

CHECK FOR TEMPERATURE OF WATER SHOULD BE AROUND 140 DEGREES TO DISSOLVE SOAP AND CLEAN DISHES. IF YOUR WATER IS CLEAN DO YOU NEED A RINSE AGENT OTHER THAN CLEAN WATER.

dishwasher is not draining quick enough.. inside the dishwasher on the bottom is a plastic screen that has 2 screws...remove the 2 screws....clean out inside there....usually theres broken glass, food and other debris....if that doesnt work..look under the kitchen sink follow the dishwasher drain line to the sink drain and make sure all lines are not clogged

Having a problem with a white powdery substance Model 17602

The sump may be full of debris here is how to check it:

ok in the dishwasher you will see you lower spray arm. take it off. now going up the back is the supply tube. you need to pop it off of thed top then the back and turn it clockwise to get it off the motor. after you do that you will see 4 torx screws. take all 4 out and you will be able to remove the fine filter. thats the normally grey piece with all the slots. after you remove the filter you will see two more torx screws. remove them they are for 2 seperate pieces one is the foreigh food seperator and the other is the chopper cover. remove both of them and clean the whole thing out. as yiou are puytting it back together. let me know if you get stuck

Dihes not clean

Run the unit with no soap, after about 5 min. of run time open door and check to see if water is clear or soapy,If soapy then you are having an oversudsng issue. When your washer gets to rinse cycle, your unit (if oversuding),will be rinsing with soapy water and the the drying cycle bakes the soap on dishes. You might be having a white film on your clear glasses.Cut down on soap especially if you have soft water.powder soap is best.Your dishwasher will fill , wash , the drain. Its what you put into it that will cause dishes not become clean.
