Kenmore Dryer Model 110.888029 Serial MH1102412 Type 180.00

My wife says its taking longer to dry our towels, sometimesw we have to dry them twice. Do I have to replace the heating element or heater box problem. Or could the thermostats be the problem not sure what's causing the problem.
Could the washer be the problem of now spinning the clothers out enough.

MOST LIKELY PROBLEM IS A RESTRICTION IN THE EXHAUST. DISCONNECT THE VENT FROM THE BACK OF THE DRYER AND TRY DRYING ONE LOAD. IF IT DRIES O.K.,
THERE IS A RESTRICTION IN THE EXHAUST. CLEAN THE LINT OUT FROM THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF DUCT WORK.

My Kenmore 6.7 cu ft he2 Super capacity electric dryer is taking twice as long to dry. no error codes

It sounds like a connection problem with one of the heating elements, or perhaps only a clogged input or output hose from the dryer. Either of these could cause the problem...also, a burned out electric element.

The dryer basin will not turn when drying. Kenmore dryer Model # 66722692 Serial # mh0566762 Type 180-00

That's probably a broken belt:
Unplug the dryer and take it outside. While you are at it get a belt
(341241 being the most popular one) Get some zoomsput oil (it is safe for dryers).

I have a Sears/ Kenmore model 70 heavy Duty eletric dryer, this months eletric bill was almost twice what it normally is and we realized that it has been taking longer and longer to dry the clothes. Once...

Long drying times are ALWAYS cvaused by poor air-flow in a dryer.

The causes are many.
1. Go outside and check the thru the wall dryer duct flapper. Make sure it is free of lint.
2. Pull the lint filter and wash it with vinegar. The water then soap and water with a very good fresh water rinse.
3. Inspect the area where the lint filter is installed for any signs of lint build up. Use a crevice tool and a stretched out and folded in half wire coat hanger (Looped) to reach deep onto the lint build up areas so you can remove the lint with a crevice tool and Vacuum.
4. Remove the vent duct from the back of the dryer and check the air-flow. The air-flow should push a relaxed hand / wrist gently away from the dryer vent hole with the dryer on. If you do not get this kind of aor flow you will need to ensure all of the lint has been removed from the internal dryer ducting. If your sure the ducting is clear and you stil have poor air-flow then most likely the blower wheel has failed, Most of the time the center hub will crack and the blower wheel will not turn at full speed. Other times a fan blade breaks and blocks the ducting.
5. Use a flash light and look into the vent duct hole on the back of the dryer. Check for a restricted duct. Clean as necessary.
The above are the most common reasons for higher electric bills and long drying times.
Have a 2nd person look for lint after your done cleaning! The more eyes the better.

Yes i have a Kenmore Elite Smartheat quitepak 9 HE4 and its not drying at all. It takes 180min on hight to dry towels

If your dryer is STILL heating, but your clothes still won't dry, you may want to check the dryer interior cabinet and/or the entire run of the exhaust ducting from where it exits your dryer to the point where it leaves your home to ensure you have no kinks, clogs, or excessive bends. The following link explains many of the common problems that can cause poor drying efficiency and longer dry times:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3578821-dryer_takes_too_long_to_dry

Before assuming you have a problem with the appliance, double check your installation, first, to ensure you are providing the dryer with proper exhaust and air flow. This is the NUMBER ONE cause of poor drying efficiency. A dryer in a clogged state, or having improper air flow, will not dry efficiently and will cause the heating circuits to overheat. Eventually, this can lead to component failures and is the source of many fire hazards. If you have any questions, please post back with a complete MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Kenmore eletric dryer model 11064642400 bad odor

The moisture may not be getting out of the dryer quickly enough.
LONG dry time is an indication of a clogged or restricted exhaust. Inspect the hose in the back to make sure it is not crushed or kinked. Clogged or restricted exhaust is the primary cause of failure in all residential dryers. Blowing the the system with a shop vac is only a temporary solution. The system needs to be cleaned (2 to 3 times per year) with a rotary brush to scrape lint collecting from the sides of the pipe. Also consider replacing flexible plastic or foil pipe with rigid metal type. Dryer will vent 30% to 40% better. If condition persists for too long, a high limit fuse mounted on the heater will open causing the heater to no longer operate.
Remember..the purpose of the dryer vent is to get rid of moisture. If the moisture can't be removed quickly....the clothes will take a long time to dry, no matter how much heat there is....
Cleaning kits are available at most home improvement centers. or at this website: www.linteater.com

Clothes not drying

A couple of possibilities to check. First, is the lint trap empty? If so, then the symptoms point to hot air bypassing the drum. Look for broken or misaligned plastic ducting inside the dryer itself. Check the exhaust air for moisture, as that is a better indicator than temperature. Don't forget that towels hold an enormous amount of water, & can be extremely long in drying, especially if not spun enough.
