You can change the password and try again. Your computer that connected is remembering the password. You may not have it typed correctly (capitalization counts)

Good evening, I have a router 9107 us-robotics, in which the cable is connected to the internet. On the other hand I have a wireless router d-link dsl-G604T, connected to the router us-robotics. I did port...

You cannot have two routers connected, or daisy-chained, together. The internal workings of both devices are the same. The "internet" connection going into the us-robotics works fine, but the us-robitics thinks that the other devices connected to it are computers. So the us-robotics assigns an internal IP address (192.x.x.x or 172.x.x.x) to the dlink. The dlink then is connected to the computer and assigns the same type of IP address through DHCP. This causes havoc on home networks.

So, thinking about it, the dlink thinks that the connection it is getting from the WAN side (or from the us-robotics) is the internet and forwards you that page. Port forwarding only forwards data on specific port but is not true service.

If you are trying to get a wireless signal and that is the reason for the additional d-link, the you may want to look at a Wireless Switch, rather then a Wireless Router. The difference is that the Switch will take commands from the us-robotics, while the router will try to think for itself.

Globe symbol won't turn green.

I was banging my head for 2 days with about 35 different configurations and finally tried the following and it worked just fine. Also, tried connecting 3 computers and they all connected with "NO" issues. Even connected wireless with "NO" issues. Now I am at 20mb download speed...J compared to AT&T 1.5mb download speed.

This is my DLINK model -> (DIR-601 Wireless N 150 Home Router Wireless router)

1. Reset your Comcast Surfboard Cable Modem by unplugging it for 5 minutes.

2. Then reset your DLINK Router to the manufactures default settings. Then Unplug DLINK Router for 1 minute then plug it back in (Just plug your cat5 cable into port 1 and connect it to your computer) there should not be anything else plugged into the DLINK Router at the time you make the changes. Just 1 computer can be connected.

3. Went into the DLINK configuration 192.168.0.1 and changed the PPPOE setting that I was using for my AT&T Modem to Dynamic IP (DHCP). Once you make the changes save them and then unplug your DLINK Router it's off.

4. Turn on Comcast Surfboard Cable Modem and wait until all lights are on. Now plug in a cat5 cable from the Surfboard Comcast modem (NOT A CROSSOVER CABLE LIKE THE CD INDICATES) to the INTERNET port of your DLINK Router. Now turn on your DLINK router.

5. Then turn on your computers or restart them and it will pick up IP Addresses from your DLINK Router

Internet connection fails through DLink router

Some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) require that you "register" the 'MAC' (not an Apple --> Media Acquisition Control) address of the network-adapter of your computer (or router) with the ISP,
before the ISP will allow your computer (or router) to be provisioned.

Your router has a different MAC-address than your computer.
So, your computer works with its "registered" MAC-address,
but your router cannot connect with its "unregistered" MAC-address.

Access the web-server inside the router, and click the 'Clone MAC-address' button, and restart the router.

Then, the router will send the MAC-address of your computer, rather than its own MAC-address, to your ISP.

Connect dlink wireless router to cable modem

If your cable modem was operative ...here's an easy procedure:

1. Turn off all network routers, modem, computers..
2. Turn on the power to the DLink router. let it cycle up.
3. Connect your ethernet from the Dlink to the cable modem and then turn the power on to the cable modem and let it cycle up.
..this will "fool" the cable modem into finding your dlink as the "computer" ..since the cable modem is set up for only one computer, if the dlink is the "computer" that it locks in, then go ahead and turn on all other computers and etc...you should be able to get online wirelessly..
Follow the order of events above and it should be cool.

Connected a 2wire adapter, downloaded driver, but does not connect to my dlink n router, I have 3 other computers in my house all wireless that has no problem connecting, is this a 2wire problem or is it...

Make sure the N router is also sending a broadcast for B/G mode, as the 2wire adapters do not support N technology. You can login to your router by typing "home" or "192.168.0.1" or "192.168.1.1" in your web browser and check the wireless settings on your Dlink to see if it supports these methods.

Connecting my i-touch to a Wi-Fi connection

Yup....you'll need a small router. I use a DLink WirelessB unit. Ask your local computer store for a small router, just an inexpensive unit. DLink or Linksys are the best. If you're uncomfortable trying to set up a home network, get the Geek Squad to do it for you. If you have any more questions, get back to me and I'll try to help more.

Wireless router

Yes, you can use wireless router with the modem. I guess the actiontech DSl router that you have is also Wireless one. If so, you can use just the DSL router for wireless connection. If you really want to use Dlink router with it, Connect the ( WAN port ) of the Dlink router to the ( LAN Port ) of the Action tech modem [ modem(LAN)-->Dlink(WAN) ]. Once you do this connection, better to do power cycle ( unplug the pwr to the dlink first, then, disconnect the pwr to action tech - wait 1min and plug the pwr to modem, wait for DSL light to be solid , then put the pwr back to dlink ). Make sure DSL light on the modem solid, internet light & WLAN light on the link glowing.
- Make Hardwire connection between the computer to Dlink and check the ip address on the computer whether it acquires the ip address from Dlink and then check the internet connection on the computer, it has to work. if computer not getting ip from dlink, try restarting computer.
- If hardwire connection on the dlink works fine and check the wireless connection.

For wireless configuration or assistance you may check this link:

please feel free to ask, if you have any more assistance.
