There is a mini-usb cable that came with your camera [a mini usb to usb wire]. One end goes in a USB port of your computer, and the other (smaller) end goes into your camera. If you are looking at the back of the camera, on the left hand side there is a rubber bit that peels off. Under there is the spot where you plug in the other end of the wire. If you don't have that wire you can buy another one.

Another option is to take the memory card out of your camera, and put it in your computer, if your computer has a memory card reader. If it doesn't have one, you can buy a memory card reader that reads many different kinds of memory for around $30. Just make sure it reads SD cards :)

I Lost my CD software for my Lumix DMC-FZ8 and I have a new computer to load my pictures on to. How do I load these pictures onto my computer?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

How do i down load off my camera

To get the pictures off your camera and onto your computer you need to plug the USB camera cable into the camera at one end and into the computer at the other end. Next you need to go to ' My Computer' and select your camera from the devices. All your pictures should be in a folder on the camera.
Hope this helped!

Took a bit to find this this bad news in the manual but what happens now is to get the pictures from the internal memory to the computer as a down load you need to first insert a memory card format the memory card and load each picture from the internal memory onto the memory card one at a time once that is down then you can download the memory card to the computer then you will need to reformat the memory card and then go back into the internal memory erase each one of those images and format the internal memory. Now the GOOD news, you only have 10 pictures. Don't forget to do the formatting.

Are you trying to load pictures onto the card using a computer? It doesn't work that way. Format the card in the camera and have fun with your new camera.
