Question about Bosch 24 in. SHX99A15UC Stainless Steel Dishwasher

1 Answer

We have a 3 mo. old bosch dishwasher (she6af06uc), that's giving me error code 24, turning off and not draining. Yes, there's a warranty, but if I can fix it quicker, that would be great.

The code you are getting is a drain pump issue.use a wet dry shop vac attach it to the end of the drain hose to remove the water.then check your drain pump for any kind of obsrtutions.
Also make sure the if it attached to a garbage disposal that the knock out plug has been removed from the disposal unit.
you can try and disconnect the hose and stick it in a bucket and find out if the unit will dain that way.you may need to replace the drain pump

Bosch diswasher model no.She3ar72uc/22! It gives me a code E-24!!! How can I get rid of that code to get my dishwasher to work?

theres either a problem with the drain pump or the re-circ pump is drawing too much current, if the error appears at the start before it fills with water and there is no water left inside the unit it is the re-circ pump, if its not draining water its a blockage or a faulty drain pump

What does e24 mean

The error code E24 on Bosch dishwashers is a drain error code although it can be triggered by the circulation pump or main control issue. The first thing to check is your drain system, make sure the filters are not plugged and the check valve is in place. Your check valve is located in the bottom of your tub on the side wall, generally white in color. If those two things are looking good check your drain hose is it kinked or clogged? (Did you just replace your garbage disposal, if you answered yes, remove the plastic plug that comes on the new disposal.)
The next thing to check is your drain pump, when you press cancel can you hear a humming noise? If not you will need to check for power to the drain pump, there should be 120v. If all the items in your drain system test OK and you are still getting the code the next step will require you to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet.
After the dishwasher has been removed from the cabinet you will need to get to the main control on the lower right side. Make sure the breaker is turned off to the dishwasher at this time. Remove the connector with the three grey and three black wires. Your looking for 89 Ohms on the grey wires going to the drain pump, and 14 Ohms across the black wires going to the circulation pump. If those both check out you will need to replaced the main control.
( Just a quick update if your wash motor is not working properly this will also make the code come up. If the brushes in the motor get old this will cause the motor to drag and that's what triggers the error code.) Hope this helps!!!

I have a bosch dishwasher and it is showing an E24 fault code. Any idears?

Error code 24 for a bosch dishwasher is either a bad pump or a plugged drain or airgap. This is where your washer connects to the plumbing system. If you are under warranty have it fixed if not I would start by seeing if your system and make sure it isn't plugged first. After that it could be the pump has failed.

Hope this helps
