The moister content on the circuitry has finally destroy your microwave
This is a common problem with this style that fits under the cabinet
The newer ones selling now have a coating on the circuitry to prevent these from shorting out

It is quite possible that despite the work of drying that were made, has provided some moisture inside, and that in the course of a week have created some kind of internal corrosion. Uncover the equipment needed to determine with a visual inspection if any symptom of corrosion appears.

Condensation between door glasses

This moisture can accumulate from certain types of cooking (lots of boiling) in the microwave or in extreme cases, from a blocked grease filter or exhaust vent duct.

Spills or large amounts of accumulated moisture should be wiped off. Minor amounts can dry out by themselves easier if you leave the door open after cooking.

Also, when boiling on the stovetop, you should always use the hood vent exhuast fan to keep steam and grease out of the controls and the door area of the microwave. I always recommend using the vent fan with any cooking on the stovetop.

As long as it is not rusting the metal mesh screen or other parts of the door, it can be allowed to dry out over a period of days with the door open.

If it is a convection microwave, using the convection heat will help it dry.

How do I use my Griddle for the first time? We did not get a manual I would like one sent to us.

I can't help you with the manual because you did not provide the make and model number.

Typically, you wash the griddle with soap and water (DO NOT WASH ANY ELECTRICAL CONTROL UNIT!). Rinse and let dry if it has a non-stick coating. If it does not have a non-stick coating (bare metal), towel-dry the griddle, then put some vegetable oil on a paper towel and wipe the entire cooking surface so it is covered with a thin film of oil. Heat it to about 250 °F for about one on-off cycle on the electrical control. It is now "seasoned" and ready for use. If the griddle does not have an electric heater but is designed for use on a range-top burner, set the burner to just below medium heat and heat until water droplets splattered on the griddle boil off quickly.

Doesn't tell you how much water you use when say cooking a cup of rice or even half a cup,

Rice is boiled in water and so it is important that the rice is always soaked in water as it cooks. So depending on the type of rice the ratio might differ but have at least a level of water above the rice as it must never be left dry.
It depends on the vessel you cook but see that the water level does not overflow or go below level.

I HAVE A GE MICROWAVE/BROWNER NODEL WES1384SM2SS. IT HAS STOPPED RUNNING. I CAN SET IT UP TO COOK BUT WHEN I HIT THE START BUTTON NOTHING HAPPENS.

Re: GE JES1384SF Mine quit working so I unplugged it and put a pot of boiling water in it and let the steam dissolve whatever was gumming things up. I used an electric hot plate to keep the water boiling. I let it boil for a couple of hours. I left the door 2/3 open. The microwave is working again. It is four years old and has been used every day, many times a day before it stopped working.

The microwave quit working. I could still use the timer and the fan. After a year, I had a pot of water boiling on the right back burner of my cook top and the microwave exhaust fan came on. I could not...

I think a bad connection in a lucar styl plug is the problem.
Check all of the connectors that come from the switch/control pannel and the magnetron's transformer.
Make certain that it is not still charged up at a lot of voltage in the capacitor is lethal!!!!

Keypad not working after boiling water below

Direct spraying of cleaners on the keypad and steam from the cooktop can damage the controls.

I always recommend that you spray non-ammonia cleaner on a soft cloth (not a paper towel which can scratch) and gently wipe the keypad.

And I always recommend that you use the vent fan whenever you're cooking on the stove top to keep heat, steam, and grease out of the controls and door panels.

If it does not dry out over time, it may need to be manually dried or blown out.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts here.

I'd recommend that your bookmark this link to your favorites.

Otherwise, the keypad may be damaged or worn out, or control unit may be damaged.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please include your full model number from the tag in or on the unit) for a free estimate and free tips & do-it-yourself advice.

Your full model number would be one of these: JVM1540DM1BB JVM1540DM1CC JVM1540DM1WW JVM1540LM1CS JVM1540SM1SS

Kenmore microwave Model 72 8975590 (750 W) is taking longer to heat food. Takes 3.5 min to bring one cup water to boil, previously took 2,5 to 3 min. Does the element lose power over time?

I can adjust the power level so that circuitry seems to be ok. The longer water boil time could be partially due to the colder winter temperature of the inlet water. We'll just cook the food a bit longer as long as the magnetron is still working.

Sounds like it's running but no heat

Those symptoms are what I would expect when the controller or keypad gets wet. Tipping it is not an issue, unless that allowed the water to run into the controls more than just the wet soapy washcloth did. You may get lucky - it may dry out by itself in a few days. If not, and if careful targeting drying doesn't fix it, it will need a new keypad or controller.
