Question about Mintek MDP-1770 Portable DVD Player

Portable DVD player Mintek MPD 1770

I have the dvd player plugged into the wall and I get no power on...but when plugged in the car works fine. HELP? Should it work while plugged in the wall also so you can play a program? Thanks

Hi, yes it should. Have the AC adaptor tested for DC out, you might need to replace it. Most of these prtable units have a rechargeable battery pack, you might want to have it checked out also, because it might be interfering with the AC option as well.

How do you hook-up mintek 1770 to tv


Look for a special special connector that may or may not have come with your unit. It will be a Y connector with a plug in jack on one end and VGA (red, yellow, white) jacks on the other. Plug this end into an input on your tv.

I have mintek portable dvd player Model mdv 1030. I charged it one night with the player turned on and now it won't work at all. Is there any way to fix this problem or have I ruined the player?


check the power adoptor see if the wire is not broken..you can do this by pluging it into a wall outlet and place the meter positive and negative test wire onto it if you get your 110 volts that means your dvd is damage and have a problem in the power supply..i must say if you are not a tech have a tech look at it or buy a new dvd player.

Mintek dvd player 1770 video does not work, but audio does


That happened to me. First, make sure it's sitting flat. Then turn it on and off 2 times. This should work. It worked for me.

1. POWER ON

2. PRESS ‘SET-UP’ BUTTON

3. SELECT THE ‘PREFERENCES’ MENU (PRESS CENTER ARROW BUTTON THIS IS THE ENTER BUTTON)

4. INPUT THE PASSWORD CODE 224455

5. PRESS ‘LEFT’ AND ‘DOWN’ BUTTON (NOW THE SCREEN WILL SHOW ‘REGION CODE 1’)

try going to radio shack and asking someone who works there to help find a AV female to AV input chord.
hook up the device that has a male AV out plug to the AV female plug and hhok it up to your DVD player
