Question about Toshiba Satellite L305-S5924 Laptop
Hi. Remove the battery, plug the power adapter/charger then power on the laptop. If it turn on - your battery is dead. If it doesn't, you need to test the adapter.
You need Volt-Ohm-Meter (VOM) tester to see if your power adapter has power and if its correct as indicated at the back of the adapter.
If you don't have VOM tester, borrow a good power adapter/charger from a friend. If you can't find the exact model, an adapter with the same power jack size, output voltage and ampere will do. Then test if your laptop will charge.
If still did not work, the problem may be in the power jack connection on your motherboard and power IC. I would suggest to bring your laptop to an authorized service center to avoid further damage but if you prefer to do it yourself, just let me know so I can send you more instructions.
