Apparently you people don't back up your product so I returned it. Neither I nor anyone else should have to buy an upgrade for any product within a week of buying the product. If you consider that anywhere close to customer service you better rethink this business. Thanks anyway.

I want window vista BUT I DONT KNOW HOW CAN I DO THIS

Hi there !

So tell me, what do you want to do with your computer? Do your computer crash and need to reinstall your Windows Vista operating system? Or you want to upgrade your operating system from Windows XP to Windows Vista.

For reinstalling Windows Vista, is it the same procedure when reinstalling Windows XP and Windows 7. Here is the link on how to reinstall operating system http://www.fixya.com/support/r7410371-reinstall_windows_xp_or_installing_clean. For Windows Vista, here is the procedure on how to reinstall Windows Vista.

1. Just put the installer CD into the CDROM Drive and open your computer
.
2. If message appear to press any key to boot from CD. Press any key to go to Windows Set up.

3. From there, just follow the installation procedure and put CD key if prompted and it will install itself the whole process. It will reboot for 3 times and don't press anykey when this happen. it will be finished within 20 mins.

For upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista, remember that all your files and softwares will be remove except for the hardware drivers. But not all the hardware drivers will be 100% working because upgrading the operating system will make your drivers outdated or not compatible with Windows Vista. If some drivers not working, just install the hardware drivers compatible with Windows Vista.

Here is the procedure.

1. Do not put the Windows Vista installer CD yet into the CDROM drive.

2. Open your computer and let it run to Windows XP program until is is finished to load your Windows settings.

3. Now insert your Windows Vista installer CD to the CDROM drive, it will pop up the upgrade installation wizard and just choose the upgrade installation. It will run the upgrading installation and just follow the instruction and it will be finish with 20 mins.

I hope this will help you and thank you for using FixYa !

I upgraded to vista and have lost sonic (roxio) as this was pre installed I do not have numbers or receipts how do I get a copy warren

The upgrade from DE to the retail version of Roxio 9 will basically uninstall your actual software to reinstall the new one. Be aware that Roxio 9.0.088 isn't fully compatible with Vista. Only 9.1 is compatible with vista

I want to know if my monitor is Vista compatable

Yes, the monitor is Vista compatible. A monitor is just a display device, simply showing you what's coming from the computer's video card. That video circuitry is what would need to be compatible with Vista.

If you are upgrading an older computer by installing Vista, you might need to be concerned about video hardware compatibility. If you are upgrading by simply replacing the computer with a new one, it will already be Vista ready. In either case, the monitor will be fine.

Please take a moment to rate this solution if you've found it what you need, and thanks for asking here!

Vista isn't programmed to work with software for greeting cards, etc.

Im afraid this is only an online advice site.
You can install xp from the cd, you will then have to download the drivers for your devices. (make a list before you install).
Its really easy just read everything and double check what youre doing.
As for memory check compatibility, google your motherboard reference to see what standard it takes and then buy from someone like crucial. Installing it is easy, however if you had enough to run vista xp should be ok.
I cant help thinking it would be easier just to upgrade your printer, what model is it???? Check the makers website for vista drivers........
Where do you live, maybe we can find someone local to help you

Ulead dvd workshop 2

You can install and run a Ulead software for Windows XP on Windows Vista by running
the Program Compatibility Wizard. We do not guarantee full stability for Windows Vista though.
To run Program Compatibility Wizard:

1. Open the "Program Compatibility Wizard" by
clicking the [Start] button, clicking [Control Panel], clicking [Programs],
and then clicking "Use an older program with this version of Windows".

2. Click [Next] when the "Program Compatibility Wizard" dialog box comes up.
3. Select "I want to use the program in the CD-ROM drive" and click [Next].
If the installer is not detected from the CD-ROM drive, please manually browse for the installer executable.
4. Under "Select a compatibility mode for the program" step, please click on "Microsoft Windows XP (SP2)" and click [Next].
5. For the display settings, please click on "Disable Visual Themes" and "Disable desktop composition" then click [Next].
6. Click on "Run this program as an administrator" and click [Next].
7. Click [Next] to start testing the compatibility settings.
This will launch the installer so if you have your firewall enabled, it will prompt for a permission request.
Please grant permission for the setup to continue. 8. The setup will now run.
You can allow it to finish or switch back to the "Program Compatibility Wizard" dialog box.
9. It will ask you if the program ran correctly. Click "Yes..." if no other pop-ups appear.
* Try another compatibility setting if it reports a problem with the display. For the display settings,
enable the option "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" as well.
10. For this next step click "Yes" to send the info to Microsoft and finish the process.
* Now that you have the software installed, you will also have to run the "Program Compatibility Wizard"
for the application to run correctly. Use the same procedure except for step [3],
select "I want to choose from a list of programs". Follow the same procedure for the other steps until you finish the setup.
