Hi. What they are saying can happen. Batteries will not last if they are sitting around not being used. Did you have a warranty on the batteries and machine when you bought it. Most reputable companies will give a 12 month warranty on the batteries. The battery size you quote is a very small battery for a mobility scooter. How far do you intend to drive it? The life of a battery is determined by "charging cycles". If you continually run a battery flat each time you use it, you might only get a 100 or so uses out of it. But if you only use 25 % of a batteries capacity, you should get many 100's of trips out of the batteries.
With the size of battery you have, it will be very hard not to flatten the batteries all the time.
This sized machine is probably intended for inside use only. Good luck. Neil.

1994 saturn sl 1.9l 5 speed wont sart now. ran a few times poorly

try checking your alternator, charge the batt and then try starting car if the car starts pull off your batt terminals and if car does stall out then 9 out of 10 the alternator is shot, if it doesn't then get a ac/dc tester then put it to the post on the alternator and if it is not putting out 13.8 or 14.o then you have to try to find a short, a bad wire, or a bad ground and if you cant find one then pull it out and bring it to a aoutozone or a advanced outo and have them bench test it.

Battery will not fully charge but will run with partial charge

Two things can be wrong, first your batts may be old and need new ones. Have them load tested at an auto part store. Most powerchairs use two 12 volt batts. If you batts are good you should have between 12.5 and 13.5 volts on a surface charge and 11.5 to 12.5 on a load test charge. Second, if you had your chair stored away for a couple of months then your batts died and need to be replaced. If you are luck a "boost charge" might work. If you are planing to keep it stored for months at a time, you must charge the chair once every couple of weeks to keep batts fresh.
