Hi. Do you mean "wrong position" like pressing letter "J" produce a different letter or produce a number? Is it consistent like pressing letter "J" always produce the same wrong letter or number or is it randomly producing different letters every time you pressed the same key?

    Thanks,

Yes pressing a letter always produces the same wrong letter or digit

I had a typewriter that has the same problem as yours. You need to send it to a repair shop because the IC that interpret the line scan needs to be replaced.

The letters are spaced farther apart when you type. They used to be much closer to each other....I must have hit a button on accident?

On the L. side of the keyboard there is a dlide switch labeled 15, 12, 10 and PS it is probably in the wrong position.

The typewriter is set in P.S. mode instead of 10 or 12. This switch is in lower left corner of keyboard.
