Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Cannot Hear the call..on ear piece

I have a version 3 T674TD when I dial or receive a call I could not hear the party..They could hear me but not me to them.

When I switched to speaker then we can hear and talk to each other clearly..

The phones carry holster has magnet on the flap..Will this affect the ear piece?

Looking forward to a solution!

Cheers
Doug

I have the same problem. The person on the end of the line can hear me, but I cannot hear him. I called AT&T and they did a master reset and it still does not work. Clearly there is an answer for this somewhere. Can anyone help? Thanks!

My RAZR is doing the same thing. I can't hear anything in the ear piece when placing or receiving calls unless I turn on the speaker phone.

Yes those things like that will affect the ear piece or maybe you accedentally press the volume of your cell phone because of the holster first to remove the holster before you do something to your phone

1 out of every 10 or so times I answer the phone the caller can hear me but I have no connection to hear them. Phone Co says it's the phone. Any ideas

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. Phone Company is correct with their resolution. The problem that you have with the phone is the ear piece. The ear piece is the part of the phone that allows you to hear the other party. If this is happening on the phone you might need to change the phone or the handset with a working one so that you will be able to hear the other party.

Thanks

You cant here the dialing ton when calling someone

Hi, when you try to call and you don't hear a dial tone,is because the ear piece that makes you hear some one calls you is damaged and will need to be replaced.

Usually gets damaged by itself and to replace the earpiece, you will need to disassemble the phone to be able to replace the hear piece.

The earpiece is located atthe top head of all phones. And is easily to locate.
When you replace the earpiece you cannowhear the dial tone on your phone.

Thanks for using fixya.,.

No beeping in ear piece

The microphone in the lifter was not centered over the microphone on my phone, so all I did was centered the lifter over the microphone, and it works.

My earphones don't work. Nothing doesn't seem to be broken. Just doesn't work. Have to watch movies on speaker now. Really annoying.

W220 hearing problem!

The internal screen settings only adjust volume of ringer, the external button on side adjusts ear piece/hand set volume.
If the volume buttons do not turn up the volume of the hand set then the handset is defective

No Dial Tone

First, I want to make sure you described the problem correctly. First you say you do not hear dial tone (ear piece) Then, if you call out you cannot be heard (microphone) Then if someone calls, you cannot hear them (ear piece) These sound like major, unrelated and conflicting problems. I do run into a lot of problem descriptions where people get confused with this. If all the problems were in the ear-piece this would make a lot more sense and may be a simple problem with a bad connection to the ear-piece.
