The membrane under the R button has gone bad and needs to be replaced. The following website sells the part and also repairs them for $30 for R buttons replacement. Check the following page out for the part for the 1001 model PSP. They also sell it for 2001 and 3001 models:

You can also call the company at 757 965 3317 to order to mail them a money order.

Your credit card is safer online than it is at restaurants or anywhere else you hand a human your card.

Parking brake Always apply parking brake firmly without operating the release button, and apply as firmly as possible on a downhill or uphill slope. To release the parking brake, pull the lever up slightly, press the release button and fully lower the lever. To reduce the operating forces of the parking brake, depress the foot brake at the same time. Control indicator R 3 85.

The handbrake button light keeps flashing & the handbrake wont go off

Misplace/Broken switch located next to the back of hand brake. Hand brake is on. Low brake fluid. Check brake pads by removing tire. Change brake fluid if it's time.

Park brake adjustment

no do not touch the cable thats cowboy stuff ,remove the drum and then grind the lip out on the edge of the drum ,then adjust the auto adjusters up manually so drum just slips on and you can hear the brakes rubbing ,perfect. then do the other side ,when you finish the handbrake shouldnt move more than 3 clicks and the footbrake will be nice and firm .Then its off after dark to the local industrial estate and take on the boy racers with handbrake turns ,drifting is out as its front wheel drive

How do I by pass the parking brake on a Jensen vm8032hd radio so the dvd will play while the vehicle is in motion?

The Hand brake wire simply needs to be connected to Gnd for the screen to always work. It may be a brown wire, but you may be able to clarify this on the lid of the radio or just find where the wire is connected to the handbrake and then ground it.

1996 Subaru Legacy L Wagon: Handbrake button is stuck in shaft.

this is generally a failure in the hand brake assembly itself.Pulling the center console will reveal the mechanism that locks the brake cable in the unit. You probably will notice its inability to hold in this area which will necessitate replacement .

My 1999 saab 9-3 seems to have a stuck handbrake. Can I drive it? I can't move lever up or down, button does not affect the lever. I am on Eastern Shore of Md. on a Sat. of course when I find this out.

If the handbrake is stuck on, with the brakes engaged, NO you should not drive it, as the brakes will overheat, or not move at all if fully engaged. If you aren't sure if they are engaged, it's easy to test. Just put the car in gear and try to drive ahead, on a flat surface. If the car goes forward without stepping on the gas, the brake is not engaged, and you can drive it. If you give it some gas, and it feels like it's holding back, or not moving, the brake is on and it shouldn't be driven. Is the brake handle in the down position ? If so, the button to move it is probably broken, and needs to be replaced, if it is stuck in the up, or on position, try pulling up and pushing the button in at the same time, it should release. Let me know how you make out. Good luck! Curt

I have a Ripspeed DVD-730B head unit for my car. its all installed but when trying to play a dvd it displays a message sayin: do not watch while driving and then only plays sound, no picture. how do i...

if the unit was installed with a handbrake lead properly it will only get picture with handbrake on,try taking that wire off and connect it to a permenant positive like the permanent live to the head unit,so the unit thinks the handbrake is on, or if it wasnt installed properly and that wire is somewhere else like a permenant negative then the unit thinks the handbrake is always off hence no picture while driving, hope this helps :-)
