The KX-T7730 isn't an answering machine. You need to refer to the documentation for whatever answering/voicemail system you have it connected to. Alternatively, repost your question specifying the make and model of the answering/voicemail system.
Many times its not the machine itself that is responsible for the audio quality. I do have some tips for you to run by with your telephone company tho.
Many times it could be noise on the line witch is picked up from your telephone carrier and is left on your machine. You would give them a jingle have them come out and investigate why your getting bad audio quality on your machine.

Press " Intercom " # 4 0 9 to cancel msg lamp that was not left by voicemail or press the message lamp and when it rings to an internal phone have someone answer it and that will turn off the lamp also.
