1.Disconnect your PC from Internet.
Just get a Boot-able windows CD/DVD insert it in your PC and restart the PC. As PC starts select boot from CD and follow the instructions carefully. In the process select REPAIR windows then later a screen will prompt asking for a key, then use the serial key on the CD (use this if its XP RHKG3-8YW4W-4RHJG-83M4Y-7X9GW). Click Next till. When the system asks for updating now, just click to NOT NOW through out till the process is done.
While in windows, go to control pane--security center--turn off automatic updates. Connect your internet and do your business.
