Question about Acer Aspire L100 PC Desktop

System running problem

I could start the computer. After a few hours or minutes, it stops running. I have the screen on but everything looks like sleeping. If I move the CPU, there is a chance to "wake up " the computer.
I left my computer for a few weeks with this problem. But now, it can even not boot anymore. Is it a problem with the cable outside or inside?
thanks.

Most likely your power cord is loose by the sound of it. If not, your power supply may be shorting out.

de frag it. go into your start menu/accesories/system tools/ disk defragmenter. it will take a few hours but it will make you computer run faster. basically it takes all the files that are spread out and compresses them to create more space and make it run faster

Pc locks up

Have you rcently installed something that could be causing the issue? Without knowing exactly what happened prior to the problem, I would recommend using the Restore CD that came with your computer. That should solve you issue. It takes normally anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours, but it might save you time in the long run from troubleshooting. Just remember to save anything on your computer that you need that wasn't there when you got the computer to a cd or disk before you do the restore.
