Very possible the on off switch is faulty or the timer is on override.

Maytag performance top load washer

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

  1. No power to the washerMake sure there's power getting to the washer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the washer, if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.
  2. Lid switchThe washing machine may not function if the lid switch is defective. The switch is usually located near the door. Replace if found defective.

CARLINGSWITCH WIRING

There are many different kinds of carling switches.
Generally a carling switch has 2 or more screw terminals, consisting of the center-or-middle screw, and the screw-or-screws on end of switch
The middle screw is Common screw > this is where you connect Hot wire from circuit breaker or battery.
The wire going to load (light, fan, motor) connects to screw on end of switch.
In the case where switch has 1 middle screw and 2 screws on end of switch, the Hot connects to middle, and then Load wires connect to each end screw. When the switch is toggled back and forth, one of the end screws receives power, or the other end screw receives power.

Electric fan no power

Make sure you don't have a bad switch on the fan unit or on the wall. These can both be easily tested with an inexpensive circuit tester.
Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers at the main electrical box of the residence.
Plan to replace the fan if you find that it won't turn at all because of a bad motor, most fans are inexpensive enough that repair costs would outweigh the cost of replacement.

Thermostat inside went up to 78 degrees which was set for 73 degrees. I checked filter filter was clogged. I cleaned filter. However could not get outside unit fan to go on even after turning off for 20...

Did the circuit breaker trip or did you turn it off and back on? If you had to remove the blower door to get
to the filter make sure the door is secured because
the door has a rocker switch that powers the entire unit.

if it is an old stove i would say have it serviced/checked over. if it is a newer stove i am guessing the circuit breaker predates it and is rated for the old stove therefore you will need to have a larger circuit breaker installed (by a licenced electrician)

Stove not on - but fan comes on automatically -

it sounds as if the thermostat is broke. it could be the two wires off the thermostat are after melting together. ( burning smell). the thermostat stops power going to fan when it sences below a certain degrees. but your one has been cut out of the circuit due to the two cables melting together. this means fan will constantly stay on. you need to find and replace thermostat and make sure no cables melted together. if they are then seperate and use insulating tape to re insulate.make sure circuit breaker is off while doind this
