Won't do anything but hum....no lights on but door locked light

It was washing clothes...had it about 2 years now....opened thwon't do ae door thought it was done because no lights were on....water fell to floor so i thought maybe i had interupted the cycle or something...but the door would have been locked...it let me put it on spin and drain that's when i noticed it wasn't uttons and nothing no lights just the door locked light...it would not even let me turn it off....so i unplugged and waited still nothing....plugged back up took awhile pressed power but only lightcame on was the door locked light....i can't even get my clothes out



please help

Mine is doing the exact same thing as donsmirl. I have done some checking and found a site that walked me through the testing process and it looks like it is the locking mechanism that has issues. It is Error 61 if you run the test. I haven't figured out how to fix it yet but I know this is the problem.

I am having the exact same problem. A cycle was just finishing and it was stuck on 1 minute left but the washer wasn't spinning but it sounded like it should have been. I unplugged the washer and when I plugged it back in the only light that came on after a few seconds was the "Door Locked" light. None of the buttons do anything when pressed except sometimes they beep. It sounds like an electronics problem to me. Is there a way to reset the machine?

well a hum usually is not a good sign, do u smell anything when it hums? sounds like a bad motor or bad motor windings to be precise.

From your desciption it seems to be indicating that there is a problem either with the door lock or more likely the door locked sensor requiring a service call, sorry ;-0(

Making humming noise power not on door locked
turn off the unit.use a wet dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose this will remove all the water then you can turn it back on and should be able to open the door to get your clothes out.
after all thatis done you need to check the drain pump and make sure there is nothing blocking the pump.other likely problems are the door lock mechanism is bad or the main control board

Door will not open with wall switch or remote
Depending on the type of motor that is used in your garage door opener, it could be something as small as a start capacitor, or potentially a bad motor. Hope this helps

Control locked light on
Power shd be on. Press and hold "end of cycle" button for 3 seconds. Always wait for 2 minutes after the wash is over for the machine to release the door lock; an inbuilt safety device. Never force washer doors, you'll have probs.

Washer door pops open during wash cycle
Start the washer in a cycle. When the door locked light comes on, before unit gets to full of water, see if you can pull door open. If so, you probably have a broken latch. The wax motor is activating the switch, but latch is not actually closing. There was a door latch upgrade for some of these models.
