Question about Teac DV-L800 DVD Player
TEAC DV-L800 DOES NOT READ DVD'S WHEN LOADED.
TRIE DCLEANING WITH SPIRIT BUT STILL NO SUCCSS. COULD I REPLACE LASER UNIT?
ANY HELP WOULD BE GOOD.
the answer is "YES". You can replace the laser (lens), that's the only option you have left since cleaning the laser (lens) did not solve the problem. This shows that the laser (lens) is dead. You need a brand new one.
So go ahead and replace the laser unit, its a very good idea.

TEAC is a low quality brand to begin with. It could be that the new dvd's you are trying to play are too compressed for that system, but if it's over 3 years old you've gotten your money's worth out of it. "And now for something completely different..."
