Sounds like you have a bad converance chip. Its about $300 to replace and it has to be done at a TV repair shop.
I had the same problem with a Samsung 47" rear projection TV

Based on this information I would assume the project bulb has burned out. I would call a local electronic repair shop that service RCA for an estimate.

I have the same problem, TV is only 3 years old. Already replace bulb once and helped for a little while. The more I check, this sounds like a very common problem. Hmm...maybe a class action suit?

I replaced bulb, I have sound but no picture. There is no light in rear of T.V.

If bulb is new, try resetting bulb life timer by owners manual, If needed, test and/or replace the ballast which controls power to bulb.

You need a new bulb or fuse, as yours went out. If under warranty call the warranter. The tv should have lights on it that blink if it is a bulb, my samsung does this. If there are no leds on the tv, ie the standby led is off, then its your fuse.
