Question about Garden

1 Answer

My Karcher 411A seems to have lost pressure. Behaviour is this, when you press the water release on the spray gun you get 100% pressure for like 10 seconds and then it seems to dwindle down to 30-40% of its total pressure. When the pressure cuts down I can hear more noise coming from the gun sprayer aswell. So not sure if the problem is in the gun or the main pump unit ?

Sounds more like a clog on the intake side. Check the filter and the hose on that side.

What is a bypass unloader

According to epowerwash.com:
"The unloader valve diverts water flow into bypass when the trigger gun valve is closed. Unloaders may be designed to respond to either an increase in pressure or a change in flow. The unloader valve may also be used for variable pressure adjustment."

Water leaking from spray gun

It depends on were the water is leaking from on the gun. If the water is leaking from were the high pressure hose goes into the gun it could be that on oring as been damaged. If the water is coming from the trigger you may need a new trigger gun.

If you tell me your model number (1.xxx-xxx.0) i can tell you the part number that you will need to give to your Karcher dealer/supplier to replace it.

Karcher K 3.68 M operation

These units have pressure valves that automatically turn off the pump once the pressure is high enough. The pressure switches do fail and sometimes stick and act as you've described.

My karcher pressure washer has lost its water power

I have the same problem. With mine I have to remove the tip that I am using then pull the trigger and then replace the tip and pull and pressure should return. I believe that one of my valves is sticking causing me to reprime the pump frequently. I am trying to clean or replace my valves to fix the problem.

I hope this helps.
