Question about JVC Everio GZ-MG37 Camcorder
After approximately 10 seconds of recording, a recording failure message appears on the viewer. Recording stops, then the message video management file is broken appears on the viewer. It is preceded by To record/playback video, recovery is required. Recover? Yes or No. At this point, I will hit the yes key. The camera then says recovery complete upon which I will hit the okay key. However, after continuing to record for another 10 seconds, the same message reoccurs.
Although the instructions don’t make it clear, it seems to be important that the camera is turned off before you connect or disconnect the USB cable. The instructions do mention that you should not delete or rename files on the camera except in the EXT_MOV folder. The camera’s firmware is apparently quite fragile about file names and the presence of the extra hidden folders that both the Windows and Macintosh operating systems create when you delete something.
