How to fix Fn key seems to be locked it is working backwards?

You have activated the number pad that can be used on a small non number pad keyboard, usually 15 inch and smaller computers. Hold the FN key and hit the num lock key to go back to the regular configuration.

Im having trouble figuring out how to use the fn key on my keyboard

Just like a shift key selects the upper case character for a key, the fn key selects whatever is printed on the other keys in the same color used for the letters "fn." You would hold down the fn key, then press the key labeled with the desired secondary function, and let go of both keys.

You have accidentally turned on the NumLock feature (numeric keypad simulation, you have the digits written on these keys in different color).

The key to turn it off (NumLk) is located in the upper right area of the keyboard, try hitting it alone, with Fn and with Fn + Shift, Ctrl or Alt., checking every time if the "numeric" keys came back to normal.

My keyboard

yaa bcoz you have made your Numlock On thats why keyboard gives you these characters. You can see a led 'on' on your keyboard near Num Lock.

To make it off press and hold Fn kye (left side bottom row of the keboard) and press Num Lock kye (Top row right side). It will make your Num Lock on/off.

Thanks
Iqbal
