Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

Hello, I am trying to help my father understand how to download and place songs on his mp3 player, the Phillips go gear vibe. The mp3 player is now installed and connected to his Windows XP; I know this because a friend of his put some songs on the player, and when inserted into the USB port, the songs begin to play on Windows Media Player. But when I start itunes to show him how to download and place songs on his device, the device is NOT there. How can I get itunes to detect his go gear so he can became a bit more computer savvy? Thank you for any help you can give in advance, S.S

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My phillips gogear vibe says that there is no music anymore

Try resetting the MP3 player: locate the little reset hole (it is quite small) and give it a poke with something blunt like a unraveled paper clip.

I download songs from windows microsoft onto my phillip mp3 and after loading 12 songs it only downloads maybe 1 more or maybe 2 or 3 from another download... it's a go gear vibe 8gb phillips

Hi myangeldebra...

I would suggest a firware update may solve this problem.
Your music files are not affected by a firware update.
This update is for all size GB vibes.
You can go to this Philips website and download the latest firware and softwear available for your MP3 player SA1VBEO4 Go Gear vibe.

Whenever i try to play a song on my phillips gogear vibe mp3 player it sais "file format not supported' and they are mp3 files. What gives?

"File format not supported" means that the song that you've downloaded into your MP3 player is NOT an .MP3 file format. For each MP3 player have their own supported file formats. You need to check the manual of your MP3 player to see what are the supported sound file formats (i.e. .mp3, .wma, .mp4). Then check the file format of the songs that are saved in your player.

If the songs are supported but you're still getting the error message, try to delete all the songs and then download the songs again and save it into your player. If the same problem occur, then it may need a firmware upgrade or reformat.

Thank you and good luck!

Cant transfer from Itunes to this crappy "go gear vibe"!

I have this same problem, but you simpley cant do it, because none of teh songs are compatiable, but you could burn all of your songs onto a a cd, and then download them or you coulld just re download all of your cds to go gear vibe. The last one is not the MOST convienent but at leaset then you'll have all of your songs.
