Creative zen mp3 connection problems

My mp3 is docked but the computer won't recognize it, and when I unplug it from the computer, it still says that it's docked.

You might have Windows vista - this player is not compatible with it

If you have XP:
Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware.

Dock is not recognizing the Ipod


1) Back everything up on your iTouch.
2) Restore, using i tunes (connected to the computer. Not just 're-store' to factory settings under Touch settings).
3) Put everything back on to your iTouch.

Worked for me, if not for you- check that the faults not with your dock.

Eclipse cld won't turn on


what i just did was made sure it recognized it on my computer and quickly unpluged it and put it in my xbox

Creative Zen says Docked. I cannot turn it off and the computer no longer recognizes it.


There maybe a software error with the programming of the player. Make sure it is not equiped with a hold button because that will also keep it from responding to the buttons. If the battery comes loose take it our and reconnect it to the computer and see if it recognize it. If it does recognize the player try to update the software.

My creative zen is docked to my computer, but the computer says "no player ... My creative zen is not docked but has DOCKED on the screen and won't turn off ...


Unplug your player.
Look on the left side of it, you should see a small hole, use something thin, paperclips work well, to poke inside it, the restart button is in that hole.
Once it's started up reconnect your player, all should work fine now!

Ipod nano blinks


I bought an Ipod shuffle 2nd generation yesterday, it charged all night and orange light was still blinking. Tried listening to songs and sometimes it would play but most times wouldn't. Took it back for exchange and same problem. Then I realized the problem is not with the USB plug or computer reoconizing ipod but in the docking itself. I applied pressure on the top side of docked Ipod and bottom of docking station and the computer recognized the Ipod. Release pressure and lose connection. The problem is that the docking station and earbuds do not connect with ipod and the fixes provided by apple doesn't address or fix this problem.

My Creative Zen M won't "dock"


One problem may be that the registry entry for the player is corrupted. You can find out if this is the case by opening your computer's Device Manager (this page tells how, if you're not familiar with it). Look under "Windows Portable Devices" if you have XP or "Portable Devices" if you have Vista, and you should see the name of your MP3 player.

If your player is listed in the Device Manager but has a small yellow warning sign next to it, right click on your player's name and click Properties. The Properties box may say "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)."

If this is the case, there's an easy fix, that doesn't require any messing with the registry or anything:

--Right click on your player in the Device Manager and click Uninstall
--Unplug your player from your computer when the uninstall finishes
--Plug your player back in to your computer
--Vista will automatically reinstall the driver, and your player should appear in My Computer

Unfortunately this is for Vista. I don't believe XP will reinstall the driver automatically, so you may have to install it manually from your Creative CD. Anyway, what this does is simply uninstall the corrupt driver and reinstall it. It worked for me - hopefully it helps you!
