Thinkpads are known to not accept some types of RAM modules.
Try a different brand of RAM module. It is best to use the same make and model as the original RAM module.

Not reading the correct memory

Well, depending on what your ram and how much you have installed. This motherboard only supports up to 1gig max.

Memory * 2 x 168-pin SDRAM DIMM
* Maximum 1.0GB
* PC133
No matter how much more ram you install, it will not read more than 1gig.

I can't format my 1gig memory card on lg ks 360

Preformat : By Fix-shad0w

#1
Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
#2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
#4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
#5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
#6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

I want to upgrade my RAM on my eMachine t3504. I currently have 256 in each of my 2 slots. Can I upgrade one of the slots to 1 GB and leave the 2nd at 256 or do I have to upgrade both slots?

Yes you can upgrade 1 of the slots to 1GB, as long as 1GB stick of memory is the 256MB stick then you can have both, to check the memory you will have pull them out of the slots and have a look on a little sticker on one side of them. You are looking for i.e DDR400/333/266 if the 1GIG memory matches one of the values mentioned above, say it is a DDR400 and the 256 is a DDR400 then they are compatable if not you will have to just leave the 1GIG stick in by it self in DIMM socket 1.

I intend to install more 1 mega of memory, but motherboard not recognized it (one dimm 1gb pc3200 cl3 184-pin dimm). Of origin the PC it has been installing 2 dimms of 512 and I intend to add +1 dimm of...

The memory may not be compatible depending on the speed. Try taking out all the memory and just installing the 1Gig stick.. does it work?

If it does then the 1Gig stick is fine, but your PC probably doesn't like you mixing different types and speeds of memory.

If it doesn't work, the 1gig memory module might not be the correct speed your PC wants.

I want to expand my memory, so I went to Fry's with my computer model number and bought a 1Gig memory card, brought it home and the pin configuration doesn't match. The one I bought has two rows of pi

Go to http:\\www.pby.com and look at the memory configurator. You will be asked about your system (make and model). They will then advise you of the specific part number for your memory. Keep in mind, you should never expand upon existing memory. It is always better to replace the memory completely so you don't have to deal with any manufacturing conflicts. Take your new found part number and plug it in at amazon.com

To replace 1 GB of memory completely should cost about $45.00 USD.

Memory +cpu upgrade

No to the cpu you selected. Board would not support that cpu. The RAM you selected would probably work but for how long I couldn't say. With prices pretty low right now it would probably be better to purchase a new motherboard, cpu, & RAM. Hope this helps.

Memory upgrade

The memory should be DDR II Ram. To find how much ram you have simply click on Start then right click on "My Computer" and click properties. Chances are you have 512 ram. It will tell you in the lower right hand side along with your processer and windows version. Once you have found out how much ram you have, turn off your computer flip it upside down and pull out the battery. Then you should see a cover with one or two screws in it that measures about 3 inch by 4 inch. Remove the screws and take the cover off. This is where your memory goes. If there is 512 memory in your computer you will either have 1 512 memory stick or 2 256 sitcks. Remember that any time you upgrade memory it is best to take out the old memory and replace with either one stick of higher ram or two of equal ram. Never mis a 512 and a 256 or 512 and 1gig ect. Take the ram stick/sticks out and bring them down to the store with you just so as to get the correct memory. Also, remember when you replace the memory, if you are just upgrading to one 1gig stick to put it in the A DIMM slot. This is the primary ram slot.
