If your video resolution changed automatically to 800x600 and you cannot alter it, then it sounds like you need to reinstall the graphics driver. Visit the following link, then download and install the Intel 965GM Graphics Driver listed.

I hope this helps!

Hp compaq 6710b external monitor works, laptop screen lights up but is blank

Hello,
You need to just find the 2 keys on the keyboard that control the monitor outputs. 1st is the FUNCTION key located down in the bottom left near the CTRL and ALT buttons. Secondly find the function key going along the top of the keyboard (F1 to F12) that looks sort of a monitor, and a line on each side of it. Next depress and hold the function key (bottom), then press the monitor key (above). You do have to wait 1 or 2 seconds for the laptop to change modes as it will not be immediate. The 3 modes are Laptop only, Laptop & External, or External only,if you miss the mode needed then keep performing this until the correct mode is showing on the two monitors.
Good Luck!

How to connect my compaq 6710b yo tv

If your TV supports VGA you can connect using that or else the S-Video output should work.
If using S-Video make sure you have the correct signal for your tv. ie. NTSC or PAL. You also may have to enable that output by using the function keys on your keyboard. Lastly you may need to reduce your resolution to a size your tv supports 800x600?
If you could be more specific i may be able to help more.

My display resolutin is too small, thatswy my screen shows very small as compared to monitor size....!! what can i do? the H size and V size is correct..!!

You probably know about adjusting the monitor display size by right clicking on a blank area of the desktop, choosing properties, settings and moving the slider towards the left. 800x600 will make everything very large. (XP instructions)

You can also get there via the control panel, display, settings.

While on that page, you can click appearance and change icon size.

I just installed hasbro classic game collection on pc i have a 19" widescreen aoc monitor and when i try to play monopoly i can not see the whole picture it is like it is long and narrow and the game will...

before you start your game, you can try to modify your screen resolution and then start the game it will fit to the new screen size.

depending on your OS (winodws)

WIN XP close all windows and place your mouse over your desktop right click and select properties. a windows will pop out with the following tabs THEMES, DESKTOP, SCREEN SAVER SETTINGS.
click on settings and you will see a computer screen(s) and it will be a place to change the SCREEN RESOLUTION (800x600) (1024x768) etc try a diffrent one from the one you are using and click apply and then OK. run the game, if it persist just try a different size.

WIN VISTA click on desktop area and sellect PERSONALIZATION, click on Display settings and change the RESOLUTION.aplly and ok.

if my advice was of any help please rate me :)
thank you
